So there. Thanks BigCuddlyHandsomeDave.
Frankie S
Goodnight Mommy Austrian psychological horror film. Available on Amazon Prime. The ‘twist’ is fairly obvious. I spotted it about 10 minutes in, but it didn’t remotely spoil my enjoyment of this stylish, though admittedly glacially-paced movie. It looks immaculate - great cinematography and a nicely-sustained mood of escalating dread. Quite a melancholy film, and probably not for everyone, but I’ll be interested to see what directors Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala do next. 8/10 Edited August 10, 2018 by Frankie S
AberdeenHibee
Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2, for about the 100th time. Epic movies with immense playlists. Love the characters!
Mark Connolly
Mission Impossible Fallout Total nonsense of the absolute best kind. Shit blowing up, ridiculous stunts, Rebecca Ferguson. What more could you want from a film? Absolutely loved Henry Cavill’s no nonsense character too. He’d be a brilliant Bond, although it’s probably unlikely with him already being committed to being Superman.

Lofarl
The Meg. Stupid and dumb which was what I wanted and expected from a film where Jason Statham fights a prehistoric giant shark. 7/10 for the b movie cheese factor.
Co.Down Hibee
Justice League(sky) Nowhere near as bad as people have made out,yes the villan is poor and the ending is shite but overall the action is good albeit doesn't flow as well as Marvel ,Affleck is a decent batman and hopefully the others will develop, reasonable hopes for the Aquaman film. 6/10
munro7
The Meg is disappointingly pish.
MSU
There was a moment in The Meg when Jason Statham had the opportunity to punch the shark in the face and he didn't do it. I'll never forgive it for that.
Ira Gaines
If The Meg even had half the self awareness that people wanted it to have, then it'd have been a fun watch. It didn't though. Far too serious most of the time, and a massive missed oppertunity.
Dindeleux
Watched Hannibal the other day.It was ok but not on the same level as Silence of the Lambs. Brain eating scene at the end particularly gruesome. -
54_and_counting
Ant man & the wasp Highly enjoyable marvel flick, get what you expect, bits of humour, soppy scenes and cracking action moments, think ant man and the sequel have slightly better action scenes than most mcu films due to the shrinking and growing during the fights Nice double post credits scenes as well bumps it to an 8.5/10 for me

They really went for the shock and gore element in the sequel, but in fairness they were never going to recreate the atmosphere and the drama of the first.
Mark Connolly
The Incredibles 2 I think this scene from the first one should sum it up.

Zetterlund
Watched a few movies because I was on a plane. Rampage: Silly nonsense as expected, but better than I thought it would be. Some good creature feature action sequences. 6/10 A Quiet Place: Good original, atmospheric horror. I was curious how it would work with almost no dialogue, but it worked. Slightly spoiled by a few irritations, such as (possible spoiler alert) the questionable life choice of the main characters who, in a world stripped of all life by flesh-eating alien monsters who hunt by sound, decide to have a baby. A good watch though. 7/10 Hostiles: Stunning visuals puts gloss on a fairly average & predictable story. 6/10

Red_Dwarf_Posse
The Babysitter - Netflix 2018 (6/10) Not too bad, a sort of comedy come thriller. Only actors I recognised was Bella Thorne and Ken Marino.
