Didn't see Batman vs Superman but didn't think Justice League was nearly as bad. Batman vs Superman has plenty of it. An awful film for many reasons, that being just one of them.
D.A.F.C
Watched dirty grandpa last night. It’s nonsense but for some reason the shabba joke had me in stitches.

Was getting that mixed up with Bad Grandpa featuring Johnny Knoxville

I actually liked that they addressed the human cost of it in Batman V Superman and didn't just sweep it under the carpet in a "yay Superman saved the day!" fashion. The extended version of BvS is actually really good imo, until they spoil it somewhat with another dull CGI smash-a-thon at the end. I watched Justice League on a flight and whilst I can remember almost nothing of the plot, I do remember thinking it was one of the worst mainstream films I've ever seen.

tongue_tied_danny
Joker I'd give it 9 out of 10 plus 1 bonus point for having a Gary Glitter song in the soundtrack. 10/10 Edited October 5, 2019 by tongue_tied_danny

port-ton
Couldn't find this thread last night for some reason so put my thoughts on the joker thread, but I'll put it here too. 10/10 for me. The most perfectly made movie I've ever watched. There's not a single scene wasted. Even when not much is happening I couldn't bring myself to go pee as every single scene, word or movement has a purpose in this movie.Towards the end I literally sat shaking my head in disbelief at how perfect a movie it is.There might possibly be movies I've had more enjoyment watching, but as a piece of filmmaking it's an absolute masterpiece. I've never left the cinema feeling the way I felt after it finished, almost in a state of shock at what I just witnessed.
killiepiemuncher
I wonder how much old Gary Glitter got for his wee tune. A nice wee earner for him in his retirement.
Mark Connolly
Joker is a 10 for me as well. It’s absolutely brilliant, and Phoenix is perfect. I had concerns going in, because it seemed like the perfect casting, and the trailers looked amazing, and I’ve been let down by that sort of shit before. Totally unfounded. Awesome.

AberdeenHibee
It is funny how the reviews seem to swing wildly for Joker. Verdict seems to be 5*s across the board before it came out, punters giving it 5*s...then try-hards like the BBC and The Guardian avoiding a 5* review for click-bait? The Guardian gave it two...yes TWO stars! Every single second of that movie had edge and purpose. There were points almost nothing was happening but the suspense behind that nothingness had me right on the edge of my seat. A fantastic character wonderfully acted. I usually watch and read movie reviews of films I've just been to see but had to stop with joker reviews as some of them are unbearable. I've never been so sure about my thoughts on a movie in my life so I don't feel I need to hear differing opinions on it.
BFTD
Aye, Joker's a good film. Not sure quite what the point was from DC's point of view, however, as it's obviously not an origin story to a Joker we've ever seen before, or one we'll ever see again, unless they fancy a future film with geriatric Joaquin being pummelled by a 1%-defending Batman. As KB mentioned enjoying Batman v Superman, I saw that again recently and it seemed pretty decent for the first two thirds. Really surprised, as I remember thinking it was a massive turd in the cinema, so I can only assume the extended version was a big improvement. Lex Luthor is still absolutely appalling, however.

It's a standalone movie so not connected to the DC universe.
