SaltyTON
I have Transformers on DVD here but I am ill and it really isn't inspiring me to put it on, tempted just to send it back as it looks shite. Opinions?

stemjsim
Rambo 10/10 Very little plot as such but when the blood starts spilling it sure don't stop The last 1/3 of the film is nothing but people getting blown away and by god is it a sight to behold. As for cloverfield getting a sequel, I had heard about it but tbh I cannot see what else they could really show from an alternate civilian viewpoint. I had heard rumours that the sequel would be similair in format to the 9/11 doco when the film makers were following the firemen when the attacks happened. Either way I'll not be paying anything to see that edit Salty I'd give transformers a bash just so you can say you've seen it. It's a throwaway action piece with some decent set pieces in it (mainly towards the end, but there is a cracker in the dessert) Edited February 5, 2008 by stemjsim

SaltyTON
Transformers (2007) 10/10 Cheers for the advice to watch it, was a fantastic film from beginning to end (not often that big budget films can run 130 minutes and have no down points!) Megan Fox is even hotter now than when she was in Two and a Half Men as Berta's granddaughter, and I didn't think that could ever be possible! Hughsie
Finally got round to watching The Departed last night. Thought it was superb. 9/10.
thegoalie1976
There Will Be Blood - Daniel Day Lewis was superb adds so much depth to the character , brilliant film , i really can't choose between this and No Country for the Oscar Jim - i would disagree with you regarding the Dylan one i thought it was a little too arty farty , agree with you on Pans though , thought it was really good 9/10 so There Will be Blood 10/10 - no County 9.5/10 Cloverfield - a success for marketing , i think the idea of making a film of that style and including an actual monster sort of backfires , as the realism of the camera works and the unknown cast makes the sightings of the monster just feel a little OTT , thats the let down for me , thats where Blair Witch succeeded that Cloverfield didn't

robosaintee
Transformers Watched it last night and it was brilliant. Fighting robots are things that please me. My personal favourite part is when the robots are hiding when the main characters parents are looking out the window The bird in it is magnificent aswell. She's hot stuff. So is the aussie computer one aswell saying that. They'd get the baws.

The Aussie one was quite hot but it may have just been the accent/make-up as she really wasn't that hot when Kane was trying to kill her.

I thought she was quite nice like. Not nearly as hot as the main bird though. She was superb. Transformeres was actually a doss film. I would give it 9/10
SaltyTON
Brain of Blood (1972) 4/10 Pretty funny, made by the producers of the Blood Island series.
SaltyTON
Hostel part 2.Shite, to be honest. The shock value of the original was one of the main reasons it did so well. There were no shocks here as we all now know exactly what to expect. Even still, the "torture" scenes (and the whole film in general) seemed completely bereft of imagination. It felt like it was a rush job IMO. Even the stupid "twist" was pretty predictable. 2/10 Thought it was better than the first one as a horror, partly due to laughing all the way through the first one at the cinema.
Reynard
Grand Theft Parsons 7/10 Have seen it a few times before but watched it with the wife and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Quite a tale and quite funny in places.
SaltyTON
That's the thing though, the original had some quite dark humour throughout it. The sequel is just a chore. No doubt there will be a third one. Thankfully none has been announced as of now. Let's hope they give up as it less than doubled its money in the States, compared with quadrupling in the first one.
DomDom
Them Hey, this is fun. It all seems to happen rather suddenly though after they actually get into the house. 6/10
