Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Great total so far. Is 2000 a realistic target for our overall ST holders this season? only 25 off last seasons total of 1800, and 175 ahead of the budgeted for, 1600, total by Pars United for this season! :):D

You would think that 2000 plus is realistic now given the amount of time between now and the start of the season. Amazing that we'll sell more than we did last season.

This Norwegian boy is back in on trial and will get a run out v Spartans. http://www.dafc.co.uk/articles/20140321/steffen-boifot-will-return_2207955_3725359

Josh not very well (might need his tonsils out) and Ryan Wallace "has a chance of making the start of the season".

(on http://www.dafc.co.uk )

Edit - Also, Andrew Stirling says Steven Bell sold him on a move to East End. He must have calmed down eventually after his wee hissy fit after the playoff second leg.

Looks like the players got an absolute beasting at the sand dunes.

Not sure this is a good thing or a bad thing, seems a bit old fashioned?

Get the medicine balls out and drop them on their stomach from 3 foot like in the old days.

Might just have been to shake the complacency from them? Or to gauge the mental state of the players, i.e. who was still in 'holiday mode' and who was back in 'game mode'? These sort of things are usually used to see who is fucking around and who has the right attitude.

It's a wee change of scene too. Yes it's hard work but it's a day out for the boys, Gullane is stunning and they all got a bit of lunch at the golf club afterwards. It's not that long ago that preseason meant a trip to some fancy training camp in Austria.

Yeah, it's hard to know what the best training regime is unless you spend money on monitoring equipment and test players constantly.

I do think our training methods should be better than other teams in this league as we are full time.

Rovers looked fitter than us despite being mostly part time.

Sometimes training less in a thought out way is better.

Perhaps it's just a mental thing to pick out anyone lacking as mentioned?
