I can't see him leaving that (and, one would assume the finances that it brings with it) to slum it in League One with us. His brother Rico was playing as a trialist for QOS today so possibly he was just there to watch him and there's nothing else to it.

You may well have made an attempt but with two 'keepers already signed, with what looks like a very small budget based on your signings so far, why would you sign a third who would be on inflated wages having spent a season in the championship? This "clique" pish comes around alot on our thread aswell. Most of the time it's aimed at fans who do nothing more than buy their season tickets etc. @silverton end knows what I mean with that! Bring Back Paddy Flannery
What we could've done is not instantly sign 2 goalies, neither of whom should be considered a no1. If ol' slapheid had any sense he'd have not signed two jobber backup goalies and tried to entice a master like Martin. Then again, that would've required more than just attending an exit trial and firing out a text.

Duffy bleating on about building a squad from scratch when he didn't even attempt to convince our better players to stay. He could've started with 5 or 6 if he'd bothered his arse to at least have a meeting or phone the players. Auld dick.

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Do we know he didn’t attempt to convince our better players to stay? How do we know this?He sent them a singular text with their offers. Nothing more, nothing less. No meetings, no talking them into staying. That came directly from a collection of players, not just one. Up to you if you wish to believe it fellr but it's basically cold, hard, solid, throbbing factage. Real men don't deal in hearsay and rumour.

Did the players u refer to all leave?and if so was it for that reason? Two stayed. All the players who turned him down and left wanted to stay FWIW. I don't think they left purely because Duffy is an utter weirdo who does his business through text, more because the money he was offering was laughable. With that being said, if you are going to offer a pittance (when you don't actually have to) then at least do it over the phone and try and sweet talk folk.
lorenzo71
So im guessing CG and BB were among those who wanted to stay but didnt due to the offers made.Disappointing no doubt.

Boghead ranter
Thread developing on FB where it looks like the club have made a big of an error in describing the Premier Package ST. It's a wording thing, 1 place says the ticket is for every home game, another states every home league game. Boggers' tour may include the small claims court Edited June 30, 2019 by Boghead ranter

Boggers' tour may include the small claims court Yeh just seen the thread TBF I read it as Every home game as well, including cups etc. If that is the case and the vast majority of people signed up thought that then the club should honour it this season then next season make sure their wording is correct.
George Parr
Any reasonable person would read that to include cup games, even if the regular ST doesn’t. And if the Premier ticket only included league games then that should have been clearly stated on all literature.

Boggers' tour may include the small claims court [emoji23]It doesn’t mention anything about all “league” games. On all the info from the club including the contract signed it says “every home game”. Club now arguing that its only home league games but this is not stated in any paperwork from the club. Only Dumbarton. [emoji85]
