He can still be good.Last year and this year they have hardly thrown the ball to him, they now seem determined to make a big push for number one draft pick.Edit to add: Bizarre timing again when the other TE Celek is still undergoing assessments for concussion and could miss next week's game. I know the trade deadline is looming but letting Davis go just reinforces the opinion that they have flung in the towel. They have no offensive team. No quarterback could do anything with that team. The writing was in the wall was when Harbaugh left. Kaepernick doesn't turn hopeless overnight. I've never been convinced that Kaepernick is worth all the hype, but I don't believe that he is as bad as he has looked this season. The O line is just dreadful, both in terms of running plays and pass protection.
