stumigoo
Can't understand why you signed Oyenuga, he done literally nothing at any level whilst with us McNamara maybe thought this is like a big game of FIFA and if you sign fast players you can win games. Kudus looks rapid, but he also looks shit. Amazed we gave him such a long contract.

Regardless of what he was thinking about pace etc. surely he already had enough strikers
BarraJag
Did McNamara not have a full rant about people judging Butcher and Oyenuga by their wikipedia pages? I think they were a whole lot worse than what wiki suggests
Pull My Strings
Regardless of what he was thinking about pace etc. surely he already had enough strikers Actually no. At the point that Oyenuga signed we had Brian Graham and ... maybe Goodie on loan? Don't think Ciftci had signed at that point and he's the only striker at the club who can really hold his own. Graham is an option to have off the bench when all else has failed and the only answer is to launch balls at the box but otherwise it's just Ciftci. I've no particular problem with the Oyenuga signing. He'll be on a tiny wage and is clearly just a wee punt. If he develops, fine, if not then no big deal. I don't think he was signed for this year's first team anyway given that he's had a grand total of about six minutes all season.

G-MAN
Heard today that we are looking to get Billy McKay in for next season. Championship in England I would have thought, absolutely no chance.

banana
I'd take Oyenuga atm if we dont sign any Strikers. Mckay is not actually that good I'm trying my best to reconcile these two posts.
tree house tam
I said at the time that the Oyenuga signing was very strange as he was shit and had shown feck all in all his time at Saints . Was given a fair amount of abuse for that , hate to say i told you so but . . . i told you so .

The fact it starts "By SG Milne" probably gives the game away.
Weesiecodal
There's a petition online which will be sent to Dundee United and St Johnstone football clubs. It's to ask that there should be some form of recognition for Ian Redford, who played for both clubs, and who died in January. There had been a minute's applause scheduled for the match between these two teams at the end of January, but if was called off due to adverse weather, so Neither United fans nor Saints fans have had the chance to show their appreciation of this fantastic player. The petition is on change.org http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/dundee-united-st-johnstone-fc-a-tribute-to-ian-redford-at-the-scottish-cup-final?recruiter=90077529&utm_campaign=twitter_link_action_box&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=share_petition
ArabianKnight
Get it done at the final. Re: signing Mckay, he would fit our system quite well I think, was this not discussed before?
stumigoo
Curtis Good is injured again by the looks of things, sent back to Newcastle for scans. Wouldn't be surprised if that is him done for the season and out of the final. Wonder if it might actually be a blessing in disguise and it might mean he can come back again next season? Disappointed he is out again, he looked to be a the kind of defender we needed, a mixture of Gunning and Souttar in terms of a balance between strength and composure.
