Let's All Laugh At Celtic Thread

It's Tony Mowbray all over again, it'll not be long till the scarfs are getting chucked on the pitch.

It'll be very interesting to see how many of life's losers turn up to 'routine' matches without the CL alongside it. Of course, in theory TGFITW will have saved a lot of their scrounged-from-the-state money and will pack their ground to the rafters every fortnight, regardless of their foreign donkey manager and laughing stock players like Ambrose. We shall see.

Tbh this is embarrassing. But in an attempt to make this look better than it is this was the team

CELTIC (4-3-3) Gordon; Herron, O'Connell (Findlay 81), Ambrose, Twardzik (Waters 71); Lindsay (Fridjonsson 79), Irvine (McManus 52) Henderson; McGeouch, Pukki (Balde 52) McMullan (Tierney 63)

Not really surprised we got pumped

Someone on another thread said it was a Celtic youth team today. Anyone actually know what the starting line-ups were?

I imagine they'd be down a few thousand season ticket sales on last season if Warsaw finish the job next week.

They're going to have to start revising their made up attendances downward a bit.

The sixth was from a penalty that Ambrose gave away, and he got a second yellow for it. The fifth was from a free kick that Ambrose conceded as well.

Only at fault for two?

Not a bad day for him.

3 tbh

From the Celtic website

"A clever turn from Lamela saw him spin away from Ambrose onto his favoured left foot, and his powerful shot deflected off the unfortunate Connor McManus and beyond the helpless Gordon."

Tottenham weren't exactly playing a full strength team either

McGee, Fredericks, Fryers, Rose, Veljkovic, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Lamela, Lennon, Sandro, Adebayor

Strange that - according to a tear-stained 'rico on the European thread, Spurs fielded a "full strength side".

Shame to see a good excuse go south so quickly.

and this was the 1st half side: Friedel, Naughton, Dawson, Kaboul, Davies, Mason, Capoue, Holtby, Kane, Townsend, Soldado.

Yeah a bunch of fucking nobodies right there....

Oh well as long as they pay is good isnt that right Peter Lawell??? I dont know who thought this game was a good idea throwing this inbetween CL qualifiers and when you send basically the youth team +Ambrose (why this guy was sent i have no idea, give the guy a break for god sake), Pukki and Gordon, they were always going to get hammered.

It was also effectively the first game for a few of them. As they've only played three other friendlies while in America and players barely had any game time at all.
