Orange Walk / Scottish Cricket thread

I think I’ve cracked it.

I’ve looked at the map and basically the problem seems to be that to get from the orange hall to the Anglican church you go past a Roman Catholic Church and through a nationalist neighbourhood

If the two churches simply swap buildings then the problem disappears

I’m surprised nobody else has thought of it

The ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe have been good for Scotland thus far but

The dramatic victory over our Irish neighbours and cruising past the famous West Indies means that the team have already done themselves proud but if they're going to actually qualify for the big show they need to beat Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe.

We've set the hosts a target of 235 which gives our bowlers a real chance but it's still a big ask

Meanwhile our hapless emerald neighbours are battling it out with Nepal in a 7th place play off

I'm just following it here
ZIM 37/4 (8.3 ov, Sikandar Raza 7*, Ryan Burl 0*, Chris Sole 3/18) - Live, SCOT vs ZIM, 26th Match, Super Six, Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo, July 04, 2023, live score (espncricinfo.com)

So things are currently looking pretty good for us

Scotland have ripped through the first 4 Zimbabwean batsmen  for 37 with Chris Sole taking 3

Zimbabwe have enough overs left but they probably don't have enough wickets

Really finely poised. What happens if we win?

Basically we go against the Netherlands in a winner takes all final game

Sri Lanka are through already so there's only one qualification place left

If they lose Zimbabwe would be able to overtake us or the Netherlands but not both

More to the point Burl is out
He was basically their last hope

The last pair (Tendai Chatara  & Blessing Muzarabani ) have ODI Averages of 6.58 or 5.00 respectively
Zimbabwe need 37

They get 6 runs between them off 15 balls and then Sharif delivers the final blow

Scotland win

There are 4 test playing nations in this tournament. We've now beaten 3 of them
