Although bubble wrap was officially invented and patented in 1951 by a 17 yr old Marty Feldman. The original design and first mention of bubble wrap in history was in fact in drawings by Leonardo da Vinci. Although the frustrated da Vinci had the foresight, he never had the technology to fulfil his vision.

When Bobby Williamson was in charge of Kilmarnock, he forced Jerome Vareille to do nothing but forward rolls in training as a punishment for being French. Christophe Cocard got off lightly with this punishment, only having to do star jumps all day for his punishment.

The skeleton you see in the Tatooine during the early part of Star Wars: A New Hope isn't a prop. Indeed the skeleton is that of a giant species of North African lizard (Varanus Alderaanex) that became extinct during the North African Campaign in the Second World War. It is widely accepted that Hitler wanted their hearts believing them to have some sort of medicinal property that granted some form of "immortality". This stemmed from the Roman campaigns in North Africa during the Punic Wars, when Roman soldiers believed they were fire-breathing lizards that had scorched the earth - hence the myth of what we now know as "dragons".

Although the Nazis were successful in killing the reptiles, a crack team of U.S. commandos (led by a Henry Jones) prevented them extracting the bodies back to Berlin. There are still many skeletons left in the desert and the Star Wars skeleton is but one.

During the Cold War, Apple - under orders from the CIA - tried to create a real version of Marvel's Iron Man in a bid to overthrow the Kremlin and defeat Communism. The iRonMan Project was almost a success until a young KGB operative discovered the plans and alerted the Soviet hierarchy, who shot it down as it flew over the Ural Mountains. That operative's name? Vladimir Putin.

Although the moon landings were actually real (despite conspiracy theories) the events of Apollo 13 were completely fabricated and were derived from a film script written by a young Stephen King
