Frankie S
7/10 yesterday, a poor 6 today. Qattara depression, sphagnum, pH scale and billiards got me. Didn't land any guesses. Edited August 21, 2014 by Frankie S
jagfox
I still don't know the answer to the Qattara Depression and I checked my answers
LongTimeLurker
There's a link provided that shows the answers after you have answered all the questions and received your score. Got that one right based on reading about what happened close to the depression during WWII.

At least I know the score for that billiard shot and who invented the PH scale now...
Florentine_Pogen
OK peeps, I just came across this supplementary Daily Quiz on the DPRK. That's North Korea, for all you acronymphobics out there. I guessed every question and achieved a modest 5/10. http://www.theguardian.com/world/quiz/2014/aug/21/north-korea-john-kerry-insult-quiz

LongTimeLurker
7/10 so will probably just have to undergo a rigorous self-criticism session now rather than a trip to the work camps. Monkey Tennis
3/10 on North Korea. Disappointing, because I'm immensely fond of the lunatics who run the place.

Monkey Tennis
6/10 today - not bad for me. The presence of three low brow football questions definitely helps though.

Cardinal Richelieu
That was so easy that I'm expecting Knightswood Bear to waltz in claiming an 11. Still only got a 6 though. At a pub quiz last night. Heard possibly THE worst quiz question in the history of pub quizzes. "Name the top 5 languages in the world spoken in the most countries". I asked for clarification a few times (native languages, number of speakers etc) but was none the wiser. A greenie for anyone who can get all 5 cos we certainly didn't manage it.
LongTimeLurker
7/10 with 1 guess. They still managed to slip in the odd high brow question aimed at their core readership in Middle England so 10/10 was never on the cards, unfortunately. Who reads or watches Shakespeare outside of a classroom?
