DrewDon Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 McKenna is still a fundamentally very good centre-back for this level. He wasn't nearly as bad last season as some people want to make out. He is probably the best defender in the league at playing against Morelos, too. If he is being identified as a potential replacement for Ajer at Celtic, though, I'm not so sure it would make sense - he's definitely not as good on the ball as Ajer and I'm not sure how comfortable he would be playing as high a line as Celtic usually do. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was also told by another players old man that he celebrated Bruce Andersons last minute equaliser against the **** in our opening game of the 18/19 season like he had been a Dons fan all his life. I think he just wants what is best for his son. Several times he has been asked to comment on the chances of Lewis moving to Rangers and he's always said he thinks he is at the best place to continue his progression. Barry on the other hand... I also like him on Sportsound. He can be at an end of Season game at Morton where there is nothing to play for and he sounds genuinely happy to be there watching a game of football and getting paid for it. Scottish football is very tribal. I used to moan about every single centre half that would get in to the team ahead of peak Russell Anderson.
