Is that not how Watkins plays too? Drifts wide/deep? Doesn't look he bothers too much about linking play etc., as soon as the balls won its like he gets into the box, either with the ball or without it. Closest I've ever seen any striker get to Adriano's 99 Shot on Pro Evo 6!
coprolite
Looks like our new strategy is a 1/10 budget version of Celtic's. Pay a reasonable fee for a youngster who's not a total punt who wants in the shop window. If we can sell one in five for a decent fee it should pay for itself. If it works it will be great. If not we'll have a more cosmopolitan squad of journeymen.

Make it a success and it pays for an uplift in the salary (so hopefully quality) of the other players in the team

He looks like he could have problems keeping his weight down, or maybe he's just bulked up too much. That music was awful. Other than those aspects, I'm happy Aye, he's a big unit. I suppose we had been in for the Norwegian due to his physical presence, so not sure whether this is the next choice in that respect. Definite Morelos/Emmanuel-Thomas fat potential there - but if the conditioning team keep him the right side of that, then these bulkier forwards can often ragdoll defences in our league. Sticky toffee pudding sessions with Besuijen best avoided though - Vinnie's blue toon showing suggested he'd maybe done that on Saturday. That is classic club TV channel music. -b-b-b-but Yinitit are signing Steven Fletcher, what are we doing?
Melanius Mullarkey
I reserve judgement until he’s out the other end of a northeast winter of red pudding suppers and butteries.
Frank Grimes
It’s fitting that we’ll win the league on the 40th anniversary of Gothenburg Well done, Dandies

Spend £2m & bank about £6m-£7m We haven't taken in £8.6-£9m this summer. We have taken in about £6m although the add-ons could make it £8.5m in the future. I think we lost more than £2 million last season as I'm sure we budget for top 6. We won't see the accounts for these new signings/players sold until November 2023. Last seasons figures could be horrendous although hopefully not the 5 million we lost the previous season. Assuming Ferguson goes for about £2.5m, we will have. £4.5 up front for Ramsay. £1m McKenna promotion money. £2.5m Ferguson (not sure if up front)

According to his old man and agent, both clearly with his best interests at heart, he should be at Watford right now preparing for a 46-game slog against Hull, Coventry etc and it's a disgrace that he's out there amongst all those crickets preparing to line up for the bolognese against pish like Juve, Milan and Roma .

I think it's great that Scottish players are broadening their footballing horizons again. For too long, the lower leagues in England was "the goal". Good on him (and Hickey, Henderson, Doig). As we see with Hickey, it can lead to genuinely life changing moves down the line.

Fairly covers us for last season, this season and next season. If the model continues to work we are selling other players in the next 24 months.
