stan3600
Ok. It has to be said. We all love Prunty’s passion and team spirit - and his singing. He’s a club legend for all that. But he’s a striker, has scored 2 goals in 2 seasons and barely gets on as a sub. Presumably he’s taking a striker place in the squad. Is it time to respectfully say our goodbyes? (Lights blue touch paper and stands back. )
SotesBornalichtie
Having suffered injuries to both knees as a young man and now, in my seventies, having suffered for years the long term effects of not having the injuries properly diagnosed and treated at the time, I sincerely hope that Steven Doris will take all the time necessary, and receive the proper treatment, to make a full recovery. Whilst he is a big miss to the team there should be no pressure on him to come back too early. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.
1320Lichtie
Why can't you just support the team, Simon? These statistics, while totally factual, are very negative and I'd love it if we could please stop the negativity. What’s negative about them

(Lights blue touch paper and stands back. ) Definitely have a point here, I dunno, he’s not had that much of a chance this season which isn’t his fault but I can see why he’s not been chosen more often too. I think we will get another striker in though, whether that means he stays or leaves I’m not sure. Don’t know if he’s maybe doing a wee bit more behind the scenes in training etc or what the script is but he’s not getting minutes when we are short upfront.

He has been on the bench nearly every week. Is there a question on his fitness?
Lichtie78
I don’t think he’s unfit, it’s just that his legs are gone and unfortunately we got a hold of him a few seasons too late. I imagine he would’ve taken a big pay cut to sign for us this season, probably knowing his playing time would be limited. Like others have said he seems a great guy and you’d think he’d be good to have around the squad so I’m happy to keep him as long as he’s not eating up a huge wage.

lichtie23
Good to see the club release information on Doris, Skelly and Gomes. Sounds promising that Ricky will be back soon and hopefully will be reinstated as our number 1.
Smokerson
Welcome to the club Scott Martin, never seen him play but after a bit digging, he seems to be a real prospect. He'll need to get off to a good start as our supporters traditionally don't take to loan players. I agree it provides competition for Yule and Whatley whilst not sure it was a priority position. We have Prunty, Hester, Swankie and Denholm who can all play as the central striker but if Doris is going to be out long term I think we need someone more in his mould.
