LiviLion
Is he ineligible for the U21s? Thought it would have made sense to get him in that squad if he's playing well. Edited September 8, 2018 by LiviLion
DAFC.
Get him called up if he continues to play well for Malaga. Naismith is completely done at international level and Johnny Russell isn't much of an inspirational back-up for Griffiths.

same_ol_g35
Malaga playing again this evening for those keeping tabs.He was on the bench. A good sign as they were resting a lot of first team players for this cup game.
JamesM82
Gemmill quoted today saying that he wanted to pick Harper for the U21 games this month, but Malaga were keen for him to stay as they had games during the international period. Same situation applies next month.
kenny131
He has too much technical ability for scotland u21 it's a luxury they can't afford, he needs to work on running about harrying like a heedless chicken and be able to make 60 yard up and under passes.

He probably won't, because he was born in 1996 and his eligibility runs out at the end of this campaign (which will probably be next month).
same_ol_g35
He's playing just now vs Cordoba. Malaga 2-0 up and his cross set up the second goal. Looks like he's becoming an important member of their team. Hope he keeps it up.
Nightmare
Just turned on the bet365 stream and he was getting subbed off. Standing ovation and fans singing his name. 5 wins out of 5 for Malaga in the league.

54_and_counting
f**k the u21's get him fully capped and start giving him experience of the full squad Or else scotland can wait till he's nearly 30 and then cap him, no difference im sure
forameus
Or just do the sensible thing and just wait until he's ready, and call him up for that level, like any other nation would do. None of this shite myth about us only capping players when they're 30. We fast-tracked Oliver Burke far too soon, so how about we calm the fucking tits over someone so we don't do the usual of building them up onto a pedestal only to smash them off?
Rodhull
Is he not too old for the under 21s now anyway?
craigkillie
He's still eligible to play in the current campaign. We originally planned to call him up for the last set of games, but then agreed with Malaga that he would be better off staying with them and establishing himself in their team.

Five members of our current senior squad are still eligible for the U21s (McKenna, Souttar, Tierney, McTominay, McBurnie), but have all been picked for the senior squad because they are good enough for the senior squad.
