The Survation poll for the Daily Record shows support for the SNP standing at 48 per cent for Westminster – 24 points ahead of Labour. For the Scottish Parliament constituency vote, SNP support stands at 50.8 per cent – more than double Labour’s support of only 24.6 per cent.

The poll will come as a blow to Labour’s new leadership team – finding that 18 per cent of people are less likely to vote for Labour now that Jim Murphy is leader, compared to only 14 per cent who said they are more likely.

Good stuff. Red Tory collapse on the cards still.

A higher percentage of Conservative voters think that Murphy will make the party more successful than actual Labour supporters themselves do according to this poll.

That tells you everything you need to know about the lanky wee toad.

The fact that he out toried the Tories to win his seat tells you all you need to know about that weasel.

If Labour need to win back Yes voters amongst their traditional support, was it sensible to parachute Murphy in for the Holyrood leadership? An arch-Blairite Better Together campaigner is more likely to remind them why they didn`t follow the advice of the Labour party on the referendum and wanted to try something different in terms of radical constitutional change. In some ways it would have been more surprising if Murphy did cause a sudden shift in the numbers.

The thing is Labour are not going to get back those who left and joined the SNP. They are gone for good. Yes some will listen to the mantra vote SNP get a Tory Government , but Labour have a battle to win voters back.

Latest on Labour's impending meltdown.

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/dec/26/labour-bloodbath-scotland-general-election-2015-snp-westminster?CMP=twt_gu

Labour is on course for a bloodbath in Scotland in 2015, according to a special Guardian/ICM online poll.

The Scottish National party, which took only 20% of the vote in the 2010 general election, has subsequently more than doubled its vote to reach a commanding 43% of the prospective poll next May. Scottish Labour, which secured a very strong 42% in Gordon Brown’s homeland last time around, has since tumbled by 16 points to just 26%.

Not been paying attention but is the fear of UKIP getting a coalition real?

Not really, they've been slowly showing themselves to be the party of racists.

They'll win seats in a few english areas, nothing major. As long as that David Coburn doesn't get a seat
