1320Lichtie
Skye is a nice name for a girl. Lassie in my primary school class in Australia called Skye Spencer, fancied her and thought her name was pretty cool. (Awaits being called a beast, I was the same age!!! )
Blootoon87
Fresh from my Facebook feed, somebody has called their bairn Peyton! I'm not sure if that's a boy's or girl's name. I'm saying it's neither.

Dave1875
Woman came through my checkout today with her young daughter, the daughter immediately runs to those kiddie rides. The mother then shouts "Mercy come back, I don't have any coins for it", took a real effort not to raise my eyebrow at the name. As a checkout worker you do hear some weird names, especially from the parents who are of the same generation as me or younger.

See 'Mercedes' earlier - it has the same root. Names of the same ilk include Grace, Honour, Faith and Verity. Aye, they may be old-fashioned but the surprising thing is your own ignorance.

peasy23
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-30993608 Glad I read that right to the bottom with the part with what names are allowed in some countries. Have to hand it to whatever Kiwi parents named their child Number 16 Bus Shelter. I can only guess that this was where the child was conceived.
Swarley
Pretty soon anyone with what we term a normal name will be in the minority and will be subjected to playground abuse by all the little Tanishas, Cairos and Phucks
