theoriginalhedge
Thought Martin did well holding the ball up, is what he was there to do, mind you missed a glorious chance. Great day out, great atmosphere, bit of a palava getting into stadium however i was lucky to not miss any of the game, not to sure what happened with supporters fighting in the corner of a stand. The irish were lucky to end up the game we 11 men, thugs. The finish from Maloney was awesome Marshalls kicking however was shocking, Some say that but most of his low ones were actually aimed at Scotland players and reached their target with the players themselves mostly being in plenty of space. Technically I don't think there were actually too many misplaced kicks .
Zetterlund
We are in a really strong position just now, we can look at umpteen scenarios but I think getting at least a draw in Ireland and beating Poland are the crucial fixtures and would see us qualify. Those results would give us a superior head to head to both of them and effectively give us an extra point. That would give us what we have now, 6 from Gibraltar, 4 from Ireland and Poland, plus anything we get from Georgia and Germany, and knowing that finishing level with Ireland or Poland would put us ahead of them. Great being optimistic! While I'm more optimistic now than I was a day ago, there are still so many different ways it could pan out. Poland getting an unexpected 3 points vs Germany has already put a spanner in the works, and both Poland & Ireland winning in Georgia makes that a big game for us too. There is also Germany , who many thought would be an irrelevance due to their expected dominance, but who now look like they could give up points to any one of us. I thought we played really well overall last night, but I still have concerns about weaknesses in defence. In the game last night just like the game with Georgia, we looked good going forward but came up against a dreadful brand of negative football and were fortunate to come away with a 1-0 win. On the plus side, hopefully the away games in Georgia and Ireland are more open which will suit us better. It's a fascinating group, definitely the most interesting of the qualification campaign. What would we give for 2 draws between Poland & Ireland?
CityDave
The only bad thing about this result is the influx of Sevconians who are all of a sudden supporting the national side. Holland aren't winning.
SANTAN
What they fail to see is, it's the players who left that did their club most good. They could have stayed and taken extortionate wages. They also could have moved for fees and refrained from pathetic, insensitive wee press conferences..
SodjesSixteenIncher
Russell Martin's like the new photogenic marathon guy. Every other c**t looking like a squeezed bawsack with veins popping about everywhere and he's there looking like something out of a catalogue. 3/10"Sevco" Yer clearly trolling.. Perhaps you're too bent out of shape about some pishy old firm Norn Iron nonsense to believe anyone could like somebody like McLean, but I genuinely think he seems like a decent c**t. He probably never wrote that open letter but it was good stuff - left lots of foaming morons with egg on their face. -

accies1874
Not a great technical game but very exciting and one of the best atmospheres that I've witnessed at a Scotland game. Robertson is a class act and him and Anya are a great combo. Does anyone know what the fight on the corner of the main stand and the stand behind where we scored was all about?
AberdeenBud
They also could have moved for fees and refrained from pathetic, insensitive wee press conferences.. Why should they have moved for fees when they didn't have to? Oh, and "insensitive wee press conferences." Just watched the match back really impressed with how we played, especially in the first half. I'll echo others in saying Martin is yet to convince but mostly excellent performances all round. That goal is a thing of beauty.
CityDave
That's it Chick has jinxed us, he said something like time to get the French phrase books out and prepare for France 2016. We're fucked now.
dorlomin
McGeady woke up one morning, looked at himself in the mirror and realised he was just not good enough to consider himself Scottish. We should pity people with such low self esteem.

That goal is a thing of beauty. It would have endeared them towards the support. They didnt have to do anything but it explains why many fans dislike them. Why people struggle with this bemuses me. What's particulaly funny with that line? Did you literally watch the whole game back? Edited November 15, 2014 by Stormzy
