Tom McB
Clarkson claims it's his first points in over 30 years. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/clarkson-gets-points-licence-095957028.html#tqc90pl Not wishing to tempt the fates but i've had nul points on my licence since I got in in '79. Several slices of luck there to be honest. Who else can claim 10, 20, or more years points free. Are you are careful/lucky as JC or I?
scottsdad
My last points were in (I think) 2011. Had some in 2006 before that. Doing over 80 mph on the motorway both times.
tamthebam
I got 5 points in 2003 for a youthful indescretion and have had none since. Mainly because I don't speed.... ... or rather I don't speed where I know there are speed cameras/coppers about!

ayrmad
On the verge of getting my last 3 of 6 removed, if history repeats I'll be back up to 6 in the next 18 months or so.
MacDuffman
3 points for doing 40 through Steps in 1986. Nothing since.
Adam
3 points for doing 40 through Steps in 1986. Nothing since. You're quite lucky not to have landed with 5, 6, 7 or 8 points here, tbh.
lithgierose
any body that gets points for being on the phone.(especially twice) should have their hands removed.
pandarilla
Dundee to Glasgow run has saw me caught speeding twice. Think I'm at 6 just now but the first 3 will be coming off soon. I know it's not clever but weirdly I pay more attention when speeding. I'm definitely a more careless driver when sitting at 70 as I tend to switch off. pandarilla
I don't think I informed my insurance company after getting my points (the last points I got were about 18 months ago). Do they have access to that info or is it up to me?

Do they have access to that info or is it up to me? It's up to you. If you had a crash could it not affect any claim if you didn't disclose points etc? I've got 3 myself, caught doing 87 just outside Inverness. That was back in 2011 though.
