Colt 45

Caffreys

K Cider

Skol

Kestrel lager although I've heard an advert for it on TalkSport recently? Gawd forbid...

Colt 45 I seem to recall as our back up if there was no Breaker left, or maybe my alk sodden mind is playing tricks on me

We've still got 3/4's of a bottle of advocaat in a cupboard, I often marvel that after all these years it still keeps its vibrant yellow colour, Arh f**k it that's my Xmas challenge to make at least 1 snowball with it. Wonder what effect it'll have if I can find some Hooch lemonade to mix it with?

Outside of the Machar in Aberdeen, the only other place I ever saw Youngers No.3 was the Station Bar in Thurso, which stopped selling it round about the time I moved to Aberdeen. Coincidence?

ETA:

Also I remember a Scottish stout (supposedly a Scottish Guinness) that was pretty poor, and do they still serve draft Theakstone's Old Peculiar on draft (they did when I were a lad) but last time I was in there the place had been all "poshed up" and lost most of its charm ;(

Sanatogen Tonic Wine

Got a bottle out of a chemist's on Woodlands Road many moons ago...

Not seen draft Becks anywhere recently?

Last I seen draft Becks was in the Tower Gouman hotel, next to Tower Bridge in London. Used to occasionally stay in it whilst working down their. Reckon that would be about 4-5 years ago.

My Dad used to go on about Younger's No.3. Sold it in Dunfermline in a few pubs. I think the Brewery was bought over by Scottish and Newcastle?

I think they did a heavy or special also.

I miss Carlsberg Elephant. That stuff was rocket fuel and the added strength improved Carsberg's woeful flavour.

Also used to get those party kegs of Karlsberg on occasion, but never see them anymore.

As a youth we'd get Concorde fruit wine, apple Thunderbird or big 1.5 litre bottles of 4% Lambrusco, which I guess would probably be a precursor to Lambrini. Other youthful favourites were Merrydown or that sherry that jakies drink, the name of which escapes me now (wasn't Croft, it was a dark sherry with red lettering on the label).

Tennents Ember - A fine pint that was my drink of choice in the late 90s drinking in the 13th Note

McEwans lager - oddly saw it in tap recently in The Oran Mor but you rarely see it anywhere

Murphys Black/Red - poor mans Guinness

You can get Tennent's Ember in The Griffin across from the King's Theatre.

You can get McEwan's lager in Ben Nevis on Argyll Street too. And some sort of /60-shilling thing too but I don't know what that is, and just read people on here talk about it. I guess it doesn't help that I'm not 60.

You can get Murphy's at the Campanille Hotel near the SECC/Hydro.

Not sure about actual Becks, but you can get Becks Vier at the aforementioned Campanille Hotel and the Genting Casino. Some pool hall too, maybe on W. Regent Street, but I can't for the life of me remember the name.

Oranjeboom (in Scotland) I got four cans from a off license just outside Liverpool Lime Street station last year for the journey home from a stag do but can't find it up here

You can get that in either Stereo or Nice 'n' Sleazy's in the downstairs gig bit, I just can't remember which one.

Had a few cans of that when I was over in Berlin in April and Dusseldorf in September. Lethal stuff but actually quite pleasant. Probably a good thing they don't sell it over here.
