RandomGuy.
With FFP its hard to see how any club could pay that. Considering FFP is completely pointless near major sides with billionaire owners I wouldn't be surprised if someone paid it

RawB93
I say fair play to Bony in all honesty. Man City will chuck cash about like it's nothing so why not take advantage? Obviously it is indeed madness, but that can't be changed.
mizfit
So how long until the premier league implodes? 5, 10, 20 years?
calum_gers
Why is everyone so surprised at the fee for Bony? He's an excellent striker and Man City have been playing James Milner upfront recently. Swansea paid £12 million for him, it's not that huge a jump given he scored more goals than anyone in the league in 2014.

David W
I agree with Calum_Gers. 30 million for a proven goalscorer, who can play on his own or in a partnership, isn't too much at all.
RandomGuy.
Bony will never ever be more than an average EPL striker. Its a complete waste as he'll not be able to push them on any. Id rate Aguero, Dzeko and Jovetic ahead of him. So £30m for a fourth choice striker is obscene
callum-ayr
Diego Costa got 27 goals last season and cost £32 million. Would you rather pay £32M for Costa or £30M for Bony?
throbber
I suppose 30 m isn't that much in the grand scheme of things but seems a lot in this case for as someone said a 4th choice striker

Smurph
I reckon if Bony was in Diego Costa's position at Chelsea he'd be scoring the same amount of goals. I think one of Dzeko or Jovetic will leave, probably Dzeko if any. £30M is a lot, but considering how often Aguero is out injured, it's reasonable enough for a very good striker, "fourth choice" or not. Manchester United don't need Valdez. Dr Gea is better.
WullieBroonIsGod
Is Bony not going to be away at the African Nations cup also? I know City have cash to burn but 30million on a striker in January thats buggering off on international duty?
throbber
Perhaps Valdez is a replacement for De Gea for the time being if Madrid offer some sort of swap deal for him/Bale
