Undersoil heating doesn't melt snow as it falls. Just stops the ground from becoming frozen

Aye, because that is so much snow that the technology can't cope. Poor excuse for poor preparation. Unless they think the conditions Might help drag the opposition down to their level?

If you melt the snow then the pitch would become waterlogged. Undersoil heating is a preventative measure to stop the pitch from freezing, you can't really use it against snow.
