Griffiths is absolute dug meat against anyone but bottom 6 Premiership teams.

He's not even as good as Boyd was in his prime.

I'm not saying Griffiths is great, and he was terrible last night, but this season he has scored against Hearts, Aberdeen, Ross County, St Johnstone and Hamilton. He is an OG away from having scored against all of the top 6...

This might have been covered elsewhere, but I notice Scott Allan did well last night.

Makes you wonder why Deila has never gave him a chance???

Scott Brown out, Biton out, Johansen out - yet Deila can't find a place for him and plays 2 wingers instead!?!!

It's things like that, plus all those defeats!, that makes me think Deila is a very poor manager indeed!!!

Deila and the players coming out with all the usual shite you would expect after exiting a competition. My favourite line has to be from Deila though, "we will be ready for Champions League next year". What is he basing this on? Pretty sure he used the same excuse last year after being knocked out in the qualifying stage of the Champions League. Celtic are going backwards under him in Europe, to only have picked up 2 points from the group thus far is a truly pathetic return.

Tom English summed it up brilliantly a while back. If Celtic's sole ambition is to dominate domestically and not give a f**k about Europe then Deila is the man, if not they need shot of him.

Celtic were going backwards before Deila joined. All he has done is fail to stop the slump.

Celtic are between a rock and a hard place right now. They can't attract anything like the top players, so will always be signing guys who are a risk. They got lucky with Van Dijk, Forster and Wanyama and made a lot of money off that, but they have also signed a lot of dross. What they need is to build long term and bring through a better standard of player than they have. That might mean writing off relative success in Europe for a few years, but the fans probably won't accept that.

Funny to think that 20 years ago most of them would have cut their wanking hand off to be in the position they are right now.

Agree. Old firm fans are generally just brain dead though. Every single person says rangers messed up when they went down by not getting lots of young players involved and building a team for the future, and not just for that season. Neil Lennon had signed some absolute dross - foreign players that nobody had ever heard of that did nothing in scotland.

They know they will probably win the league and a cup, and are trying to do it by building a young team with a lot of scottish players in it. I hate that they just go out and buy the best players from 'rivals' but if you were a celtic fan you would be delighted with that. And yet, somehow, their fans still think they should be a force in Europe whilst developing a young team for the future.

Their manager is a tosser though. That interview last night on bt sport where he tried to bully Eilidh Barbour was pathetic. She's a St Johnstone supporter and should be shown the appropriate respect from someone involved with one of the scummiest clubs in Europe.

Is this Celtic team very young?

Being a 'force' in Europe this season isn't exactly a big ask.

Molds have destroyed them and qualified from the group with what you'd imagine is easily the 4th largest budget by a considerable distance.

Competing in the Europa League shouldn't be difficult for Celtic to do. Champions league is obviously a different matter.

Molde have outperformed, massively so.

The other 3 teams are in the order you would expect relative to each other, if you go by their turnover, transfer spend and wage budgets.

'Ra Hoops to play above themselves and secure a solid 1-3.

I trust Ronnie's doubters will be taking a long, hard look at themselves today after Sellick outperformed my (already gung-ho) prediction.

So, the final game is a dead rubber for Celtic.

Fenerbahçe will now be looking to top the group with a home fixture against the whipping boys of the section.
