Miguel Simao Posted Monday at 13:51 Share Posted Monday at 13:51 Apparently Heather Watson is going out with Shaun Rooney?! Hopefully Murray is able to play his singles match tomorrow even if he gets battered in 3 sets, he deserves that at the very least.

GordonS Posted Tuesday at 09:54 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:54 Seven years since Andy went beyond the 3rd round at a slam or a Masters. He fought like an animal to get back and he deserves a good send-off.
Lex Posted Tuesday at 10:08 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:08 No surprise Murray dropping out he isn’t fit enough. Wee testimonial match with his brother in the doubles to say goodbye. Goffin gets his spot against Mahac.
kennie makevin Posted Tuesday at 10:27 Share Posted Tuesday at 10:27 Andy should concentrate his efforts on getting fit for a final bow at the US Open which, despite what the Wimbledon obsessed British media tell us, was the scene of his greatest triumph in 2012.

Even though he's said he won't much beyond the Olympics? I agree about flushing meadows being his greatest triumph though

No doubt about that. Much harder to win a slam that isn’t your home one where you’ve got virtually 100% backing from the crowd on every point. It did occur to me that he might do that, although you also get the sense that he knows he's not competitive anymore in the singles, so maybe the doubles at Wimbledon and the Olympics will do him. I remember that brilliant 2012 USO win mainly for how windy it was, and the camera going to Sean Connery in the stand quite a lot. Must rewatch it sometime.

If she and Andy stay fit they could really contend in that mixed doubles draw.
KirkieRR
Really enjoyed Sinner-Berattini. Some great stuff there. This is the first non-Covid year we've not gone for a day at Wimbledon since 2016. To think we didn't even apply for tickets when there's a Scotfest on Centre Court with Jacob Fearnley up against Jock Ovitch and the Murray Gang in the doubles.
