tongue_tied_danny
I quite liked the "Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium" in Drogheda. Think it became the O2 after the troubles ended. That'll be "Hunky Dorys Park".

Waspy
tbf it's probably a far better standard than most Scottish lower league games. That's decent value for the equivalent of a championship game.
Bold Rover
£16 (sixteen) for the SPFL League 1 game I watched yesterday at a stadium with a bad name, to get back on thread.
Glenconner
That'll be "Hunky Dorys Park". At one point Drogheda Utd were paying players £500 a week. The ground bordered on the bottom end of the Scottish Juniors. Maybe i'm being too hard, try East Stirling's old ground. Crowd wise they were Clyde on a good day......at Shawfield. The Excelsior is fine. A bit underused, granted, but fine.

Eednud
1300SMILES Stadium in Townsville, home of the NQ Cowbys in the NRL but was home ground for Robbie Fowler for one season and the North Queensland Fury in teh A-League for two. Although think it was called the Dairy Farmers Stadium back then.

qos_75
Hopefully Montrose will get a sponsorship deal with Simon Howie and rename it the Square Sausage Park Stadium. Surely The Lorne stadium?
HibeeJibee
Do Young Boys still play at the Wankdorf? Yes - now officially the "Stadium of Switzerland, Wankdorf". I've always thought the home of football in Jerusalem, the Teddy Stadium, sounded decidedly unintimidating.
BFTD
Welcome to Cliftonhill Stadium, Seriously? Cliftonhill is regarded as a Stadium ? I thought it was weird enough when KFC came to Alloa and started plastering adverts up directing people to the football stadium. I know it's probably an entirely accurate description, but 'stadium' just feels like it should be used for something a bit grander than the average wee Scottish team's ground.
