1320Lichtie
Re-opens tomorrow except for HGVs. Looking forward to seeing how this will be spun into a bad news story for the SNP Guy in my work has already said that they've lied to make themselves look good. Can't win.
The Master
Re-opens tomorrow except for HGVs. Looking forward to seeing how this will be spun into a bad news story for the SNP Clearly the bridge is still unsafe and the SNP are gambling with people's lives to try and point-score.
ayrmad
I heard that the bridge is to be re-named The The Forth Road Bridge 5088 when it re-opens. Has that joke been done yet? No but it loses its effectiveness and gains lots of irony when a Dundee fan posts the joke. Edited December 22, 2015 by ayrmad
Paco
To be fair the only point scoring going on right now is SNP voters. In reality the bridge reopening isn't really anything to do with politics, but more to do with the workers who have been out in pouring rain, gale-force winds and 24 hours a day for the past few weeks. Great job all round. Now where politics does come in - don't let it fecking happen again...

Clearly the bridge is still unsafe and the SNP are gambling with people's lives to try and point-score. Hovercraft operators left high and dry after shock bridge announcement.

Gaz
A lass I used to work with posted on FB the other day that she believes there's nothing wrong with the bridge, but the SNP have closed it so that they can complete the (imaginary) "works" on it in super-quick time (probably before Christmas) so that they can claim they've saved the day well ahead of schedule. Presumably the cracks have been photoshopped.

kiddy
Opening tomorrow, for all bar HGV's. Well done to all those who were involved in the turnaround.
ecto
Re-opens tomorrow except for HGVs. Looking forward to seeing how this will be spun into a bad news story for the SNP talk about giving yourself wriggle room and playing it safe but fair play to them doing a five week job in three, well done to them actually doing the work, the politicians they can f**k right off, and praise goes where it is deserved Edited December 22, 2015 by ecto
ICTChris
HGVs aren't allowed back until mid-February, which will be a problem for a lot of loads going North. Great effort to get it reopened, especially in December.
Pull My Strings
Poor show, I was seriously angling for the day off on Thursday (finishing early ... probably spend more time travelling than being here ... hardly worth coming in at all ... etc.).
Granny Danger
Clearly the bridge is still unsafe and the SNP are gambling with people's lives to try and point-score. Personally I would have liked to seen it open only to HGVs and No voters.
Shandon Par
Personally I would have liked to seen it open only to HGVs and No voters. They should have done that instead of repairing it.

I seen a hail of mock 'SNPBad' stuff but nothing else.

Murdo Fraser @murdo_fraser 59m59 minutes ago Nats celebrating the (partial) reopening of #ForthRoadBridge are rather missing the point - why did it have to close in the first place? Alan Roden @AlanRoden 24m24 minutes ago Anger from the Freight Transport Association re #Forthroadbridge relates to this comment on Dec 10th in Holyrood: Alan Roden @AlanRoden 1h1 hour ago Freight Transport Association: "Devastated" by #Forthroadbridge announcement after First Minister's assurances re full Jan 4th opening. Philip Sim @BBCPhilipSim 54 mins54 minutes ago #ForthRoadBridge 'early Christmas present' etc etc; only if you drive a car, though. No HGVs until mid-February...
Paco
All of those tweets within the last hour, champ. I posted at 10:46. I'm sure if you search the Internet hard enough you'll find something posted before then, though...
