Benjamin_Nevis
I'm hugely disappointed in Scottish Ministers giving this parasitic cretin a pass, however it's funny as f**k to see serial losers like Willie Rennie all over it. You can absolutely guarantee that if the opposite had been the case he'd have been howling about the SG using gRiEvAnCe PoLiTiCs to harm a symbol of our glorious union.

Indy will get my yes if/when when the time comes, but I cant endorse their pandemic response, recovery or this shit. That's fair enough. ICTChris
Not sure if there is another thread that covers this but the man who was convicted of sending threatening messages to Joanna Cherry has been sentenced. Grant Karte, 30 of Stirling, recieved 160 hours of unpaid work and 15 months supervision. He is also barred from contacting Ms Cherry for five years. Mr Karte has previous convictions for possession of a knife in a nightclub and fraud. He was apparently a member of the SNP when the offences occurred. Joanna Cherry posted the following statement on Twitter about the case
ICTChris
I pay particular attention to stuff involving Joanna Cherry as she is my MP but it is a pretty awful case. One of the messages from Karte to Cherry said "You have 24 hours or I will f**k you like you have fucked Scotland".

Quote While some Scottish National party politicians and activists are openly furious about the extent of royal influence in Scotland, Yousaf said it would be done only if the Queen’s officials agreed. “We would have to obviously speak to the royal household about that, there would be implications in that respect,” the minister told BBC Scotland. “But of course if that’s something parliament, the public want us to do, to examine and explore that, then we will examine and explore that. That is an utterly pathetic response from Yousaf.

Nothing to say a state owned pharmaceutical company in a socialist system wouldn't do the same. From my understanding the blame lies largely with the regulatory system.

"Capitalism: an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state". Put simply, capitalism just puts profit as the prime motive and aim.

Lex
Interesting/sad to see the Taliban marching back into power in Afghanistan.Remember hearing an interview with one of their leaders a few years ago. He was asked, ‘what do you do now’. He said… ‘ we wait till the Americans leave.’Looks like they did. Will be back to how it was with them in power in 2001 within a few months. What a waste of time and life the last twenty years was.
