BFTD
Yer da patter was truly excellent when it first 'came out' as such, but I fear it's had the arse kicked out of it a bit. Just like yer...och, never mind.

Limmy's dark yer da stuff was good. It was ruined when 'Scottish Twitter' started ripping the arse out of it.
Hampden Diehard
My old phone can't open your JPEG. Still in the dark. I'll ask one of these young folks. that's me up to speed on memes now. Think I prefer hitting the Quote button and typing "w****r" in capital letters.

It's for the best, and usually funnier. ( cue another unfunny meme.......) -
dee_62
"A thing", ie describing some recent trend or cultural phenomenon as "a thing". When did this shite patter become "a thing"? Likewise when it becomes "a thang" or even worse - "that's my jam" as in "<insert song title>, that's ma jam"

Darren
I'm only 25 but the way young folk talk on twitter makes me incandescent with rage. Lit All the 'yer da' stuff Goals - friendship goals, squad goals, relationship goals etc. Using 'as f**k' as an adverb. Often shortened to just 'AF' Zoomers - Not the word in itself but they way it has been hijacked by Jamie Ross-type political bores on twitter I get incandescent about the superfluous use of words. And business speak. I hate business speak. Edited February 24, 2016 by Darren
Kejan
"Ball park figure" etc - we have all heard this pish far too often recently. Yer Ma/Da - started off mildy amusing, but its safe to say its been pile-drived in to the ground by the chimps on Twitter. Parody Twitter accounts - there are some gems in a pan of shit. The latest one I came across - something about footballers who look like other professions. There are some funny ones, but the majority are not. Bookmakers Twitter accounts trying to be funny too can go away. # - do it on Twitter, but do not say this out loud. GIF/Vine Twitter - again, some are funny, but when every tweet is a GIF or a vine about their current mood is unbearably boring. The_Kincardine
My English teacher , Adam McNaughton wrote that song. No no. Big Dan was MY English teacher. Did we have this conversation before? I'm pretty sure I've discussed it with someone. He certainly taught at Dalziel in Motherwell for a while.
