Pirates radio announcers stated that we are on pace for the most baserunners since something like 1887. We are 9-8 and 4 games back of the Cubs. Jeez. I'd trade a good chunk of those baserunners for a couple guys who could hit home runs.

This Cubs team is just insane. 20-6 to start the season, so on pace for over 120 wins! Clearly they won't stay as white-hot as this all year, but they have started off by exceeding the lofty pre-season expectations. All this with Schwarber out for the year, Montero on the DL and Heyward banged up and not doing much with the bat.

Interesting series coming up against the Nationals though.

From what I've seen they look superb. There will be a dip at some point tho.

The Mariners have went 8-2 in the last 10 and sit top of the AL West. Encouraging stuff

The pitching, especially Arrieta, has been insanely good. It's going to be impossible to sustain of course, but being 6 ahead of the Pirates at this stage is great.

As mentioned, the series against the Nationals will be a great test.

Rougned Odor is a scumbag. Hope he gets a lengthy ban.

Gutted that we don't play Texas again this season!

Bautista had that coming. I think it's great to see a pitcher stick up for his shortstop.

For every game Odor misses, Bautista should miss one, as should that arsehole Texas manager.

Jose Bautista is a piece of shit for that slide. He should have been knocked cold for such a play. And then he actually had the balls to pull the "play the game the right way" card in postgame interviews. Wow!

Probably the roid rage getting the best of him.
