killingfloorman
That Rangers statement is shocking. Real alternative universe stuff
BountyBairn
Doubt that happened Ridiculous tbh.
Jan Vojáček
That Rangers statement is appalling. If their players were attacked then that's one thing, but commending their fans behaviour? Madness. If Rangers fans hadn't invaded the pitch - like losers don't normally do - then the scenes would not have been so "unsightly"
bairney
Well done Hibs! H** down here was growling like a bear as I pointed to the screen at the marvellous pitch invasion after 114 years of waiting Enjoy tonight! DeeTillEhDeh
Rangers claiming their fans showed restraint - unbelievable.
smpar
The last line is just nonsense but the rest of the statement is fair. If players/officials were attacked then there should be repercussions, clearly. Absolutely, it's unacceptable if players/staff were hurt. The fact that they not only ignore the Rangers fans' also unacceptable behaviour, they actively commend them for 'restraint,' which is complete and utter fucking nonsense.
milhouse
In fairness I think the Police have done an excellent job here. Calm smackdown on the Sevco, all under control quite quickly allowing tasteful scenes of jubilation.
ScotSquid
ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1463849389.953612.jpg Any Hibs fans that did attack the Rangers players deserve to be punished But that last line f**k off The **** so raging they couldn't even spell check their whining bitchery
Savage Henry
Doubt that happened I heard 123 fans were killed at Hampden today. JFT123 who went to the football and never came home.
Ya Bezzer!
BBC pundits utterly embarrassing themselves, thank f**k Stuart Cosgrove is there to actually represent real football fans.
pandarilla
That Rangers statement is shocking. Real alternative universe stuff It really is. It's playing to the victim-hood arseholes in the Rangers support. Classless and incendiary.

The fact that they not only ignore the Rangers fans' also unacceptable behaviour, they actively commend them for 'restraint,' which is complete and utter fucking nonsense. Yup. Other than the last line, that statement is far from the worst thing to come from the Ibrox PR department. If players have been assaulted then Hibs are going to get shafted, and rightly so. That last line, though, is ludicrous.
WeAreElgin
They showed amazing restraint to remember the words to Billy Boys through all the tears and snotters, quite right
jamamafegan
If the Rangers fans, who had no reason to enter the field, didn't pitch invade then this wouldn't have happened. They've brought it upon themselves. That statement though
Lyle Lanley
Just back on the bus after that. I'm still crying my eyes out typing this. After all the years of heartache I've been through, money spent, and to suffer usual disappointment nearly all the time. I literally can't believe we've done this and espeically in the last minute. 2-1 down and I thought ah f**k here we go but everyone knows the rest. I'm away to have the best night of my life and my bank balance will take a huge hit. Eoin xx

BinoBalls
If it was Rangers or Celtic fans who ran on to the pitch in such numbers i dare say it would be a very different reaction from yourself and others. As an Old Firm fan who likes loaded competitions his team can win regularly, you will literally never understand the explosion of joy we just saw from the Hibs fans. That's why they invaded the pitch. Unlucky.
