If there’s Premiership clubs after him though, it’s probably unlikely he comes here. Livi are in for him. Martindale keeps pleading poverty though, so that might be the one Premiership club we could compete with financially.
oneteaminglasgow
The pre-contract stuff about Williamson definitely wrong then, as he’s signed permanently with Accies.
BigMadMental
Got to wonder what happened with him. He was good last season, came in with a fair bit of promise. Rangers aren’t even arsed with him. Bye bye and off to Hamilton you go.

Technicaly it was true, he was set to be our player but we decided f**k it and pulled out.
JagsCG
It’s a bit of a strange one as to why it didn’t work out for him, when he signed unlike most OF loanees he wasn’t really that much of an unknown quantity, he’d been part of a side that won the title the previous season and had several loan stints at our level and one with Livi in the league above, and IIRC there weren’t too many awful reports of him as a player. Can see why initially the club/Doolan would’ve had the idea of a PCA (after all no one would’ve batted an eyelid if we’d signed him permanently in the summer instead of a loan) but obviously right to pull it if they did. I see that ‘Transfers’ Twitter account has now linked us with Lee Ashcroft (as well as Dunfermline & QP). Imagine Pars have the pull of being an ex club of his and QP might have the financial pull, but would be a good signing be it loan or permanent. H Wragg
Can a North Stand season ticket be used in the Jackie Husband either a) By just scanning it at the turnstiles or b) By contacting Firhill beforehand or the ticket portacabin on the day or is this not allowed at all?

I phoned up earlier in the season and they put a ticket aside for me for the JHS to collect at the portacabin.
JagsCG
Scott Burns has us signing Ross Stewart, ex Livi and Hearts goalkeeper.

Quote Former Hearts keeper Rpss Stewart is set to sign for Partick Thistle. The ex-Tynecastle backup has been without a club since the summer after his deal in Gorgie ended. With Craig Gordon and Zander Clark ahead of him, Stewart left the capital club but has found securing his next move a challenge. But now he's set to don the gloves in Maryhill and assist Partick's promotion push Maybe Mitchell isn't as injured as we were led to believe?
Nightmare
Another falling out due to the crackpot, toxic Low-sympathiser. Great stuff. Mitchell is pretty much the definition of mediocre anyway, so not a big loss if that’s his time up at Thistle.
Thistle_do_nicely
Hm. Wee bit of a concern longer term for Milne? Would be a miss if the agent dicks us around/actively courts other clubs, especially the Boab McCullochesque crunching tackle every game.
oneteaminglasgow
I have no idea if Ross Stewart is any good or not, but I do know that Mitchell is bang average so it’s unlikely that he’s a significant downgrade.

oneteaminglasgow
Hopefully means that McCready can be put out on loan somewhere again. Preferably higher than the Lowland League.

Back in July 2017, Stewart was given a rare outing by St Mirren at Firhill in the League Cup. Saints were very poor that day, Thistle played well, even when down to 10 men, and won 5-0. Doolan notched the first goal after 12 minutes. Ross only played a couple of games for us. He didn’t look up to the level required but was quite young. He did get an outing for Hearts last season, after Gordon got injured, but Naismith obviously didn’t feel he was of the standard required and quickly got Zander in. As noted, maybe just short term cover to allow Mitchell to depart (to Clyde?).
Reid
Mitchell to Clyde I would imagine.
Mediocre Pundit
I expect this allows Mitchell to leave with Stewart brought in on a lower wage - given he’s been without a club for so long. So Sneddon remains #1, we have a respectable backup option, and we free up a bit of budget?

Mediocre Pundit
And Milne is playing every week, unlike the other two. Can’t imagine he would be unhappy.
