I'd add Dodoo's winner to the list as well.

Also, as SetPieceSpecialist mentions, Cerny is up there with Kenny Arthur and Bryn Halliwell in the time wasting stakes.

Great keeper.

Aye, he was ripping the c**t with it last night, picking up the ball then walking to the goal post to clatter the mud off his boots.

Cerny... Now that he's back, we'll be able to run down the clock more easily when under pressure as he's somewhat of an expert in that field.

He's a maestro, a 10th-dan sensei. He has a group of disciple keepers in the North Stand, watching and taking notes. Whole aeons disappear between the ref blowing for a bye kick and him finally blootering the ball. It's a fucking masterclass.

I panicked a fair bit when Holt got a bit of space in the box and got a strong, low shot at goal, as the position it was in was giving me flashbacks to Dodoo's winner which went through Stuckmann (who I assume is away now)... and of course Big Tam Cerny caught and held on to it comfortably for about 20 seconds.

Feel a bit bad for Scully as I was keen on the idea of him getting a run in the first team once Cerny was injured as Cerny had been a bit iffy for goals conceded against St Johnstone and Hearts. Very, very happy to see Cerny back to his best though.

Finding it a little bit tricky to think exactly what we need in January now. All obviously depends on what sort of quality is available and who we shift out, but I would rank the priorities as being 1) A goalscoring forward other than Doolan

2) A centre half for added cover, possibly an older head given the avg. age of the defence outwith Cerny (Match report says that Lindsay went off with an injury to his face so I'm hoping he won't be out too long but I was panicking when he went off at HT due to our lack of depth there)

3) A midfielder who likes looking for the ball all the time, similar to Bannigan who I think is fucked for the rest of the season.

Archie I don't think likes loanees all that much (can't remember many outwith Lyle Taylor and the Liverpool youngster that may or may not be a figment of my imagination) but I think it'd make sense for 3) given that Welsh is in good form and Barton can play in midfield too - loan someone for the rest of the season and keep an eye on how Bannigan's recovery progresses.

Booth and Fraser were on loan before signing for the club, Erskine came back for a bit and we had Muirhead and Nesbitt in last season so I don't think Archie is against loans if he can find the right player. We've also had a couple who were shite like Mukendi and Jake Carroll.

George Moncur was a loan signing who averaged a goal every 33 minutes. He was also a dick.

If we're playing 3-5-2 we need another centre half and another striker, the striker may be Nisbet but as per Ayr fans posts on here he hasn't quite set the heather alight in the championship so I think he might go out on loan again.

To cover the 4-2-3-1 we might need another winger assuming McDaid is moved on but I think centre half and striker will do.

We're fine at full back assuming Muzzy is back as we have him, Ziggy, Booth, and Elliott, and we have about 1.4 million central midfielders so we're OK there. Stuckmann might get an extension on the basis that Scully isn't due back til February at the earliest and Cerny has feet made out of wafer biscuits.

I've already booked the Wednesday off work for Div Wilson's testimonial in 2024 so he's going nowhere. Can't see how Fraser gets back in the team after being out for 9 months but he's out of contract in the summer so we could do an emergency 1 month loan to a championship team to get him match fit during the winter break.

A few teams looking at Lindsay: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/leeds-united-target-partick-thistle-9535424

He's tied down for another 2 1/2 years so I'd definitely not sell him January as he has plenty of time left on his contract and It would mean scrambling around for another CB replacement.

I think Lindsay has all the makings of being a top centre half and have long thought he's our most saleable asset. Every team in the country is looking for a proper centre half - if you built one in a lab, physique wise, I suspect most folk would build something similar to Lindsay.

I think he's come on quite a bit this season due to being our most dominant defender and then latterly being paired with Barton, and has of course added goals to his game.

In the current market, and with the number of teams who have been watching him, I'd say £500k is a fair asking price for a 21-year old with 2.5 years left on his contract and with the potential that he has.
