Phillips455
Any reason why we are using g the 19/20 away top (apart from it being a beauty)? I can see we have the new home shorts and socks so it seems a bit odd.
capt_oats
Here's the team. 1-0 to the gammons at H/T 5 trialists by my count, I take it O'Connor is one of the CBs. Donnelly and SOD play 45 mins. T.Rialist on for Donnelly and Johnston on for SOD. No Toby and I suppose unsurprisingly no Bevis. No Shields or O'Hara either. RostokMcSpoons
Millwall have scored again at the start of the second half. Shaun Hutchinson on against us. Edit: full time, Millwall tweeting their 'dominant second half performance' Bah humbug In slightly more pleasant news, AC got Luton a penalty and hit the post in the first half of another win for them Edited July 10, 2021 by RostokMcSpoons

Mr. Brightside
I feel like a club such as ours should not be playing friendlies against the likes of Millwall.

capt_oats
Quote "We had players returning from injury, we got 90 mins into a few of the boys that need it. Liam Kelly's first game, Stephen O'Donnell's first half a game, Ricki Lamie's first game. They're big players for us and that's their first outing against a real tough outfit and we're still looking to recruit as well." KirkySuperSub
The only surprise was that wee fucking rat admitting it wasn't "his team"...these chunts are so desperate for the glory and endorsement I'm surprised Mr Gove didn't out himself as a closet 'Well fan on the back of that tweet...!

There are plenty of people who do big numbers that I wouldn't want to see giving the club a co-sign or amplifying to the goons that follow them. Anyway, Derek Watson's QT articulates far better than I can exactly why I was, and still am, raging at the sheer brass neck and hypocrisy of Gove. The main positive was the number of 'well fans telling the poisonous little shitstain to go and chase himself. But I’ve a very low opinion of Michael Gove, bit of a Wiesel.

Busta Nut
So anyone any idea who who the 82 trialists were?

That would make sense. Also, I'm guessing this is the other centre back trialist over Watt's shoulder in the opening frames of the video the club put up yesterday. It's not particularly helpful as he's out of focus and I've no idea who it is. Given how quickly the press ran their story about "ex-Rangers star" Jamie Ness playing as a trialist against Dumbarton I thought we might have heard a couple of names leaked. Maybe the club have tightened things up and went Secret Squirrel on that front though. Also, I take it from Alexander's comments about "still looking to recruit" in the V.O that's a process that's running in parallel to having a million trialists bouncing around the place. O'Connell started the game along with another really physical centre half who had the same phyisicality as Kipre. His first name was Christrian. O'Connell didnt have his best game but hard to judge as Millwall were impressive. Donnelly played first half and played well. Van Veen played had some noce touches but looked a bit short of fitness. Woorley looks decent, never gives up and looks to have pace. At half time a trialist came on in middle of park, anotger big physical player, reminded me of Andy Rose, he looked calm on ball, his first name was Mikel and has been at the club for 4 months. Amaluzor came on, reminded me of Seedorf but a bit more physical. Max Johnston looked decent, Watt put in a really hard shift and Kelly made some great saves. Interesting that McGuire played full 90
