I wouldn't worry about it yet - no manager is going to advertise to the world we're going on a huge shopping spree and very few would so publicly announce to their current squad in January they're for the chop. Obviously if he's telling the truth it's time for panic but I'd wait and see. I honestly believe we are back in the old position of having to sell someone before we bring anyone else in. Hammell and the players clearly haven’t learned from the 10 men v Hearts debacle. Or any mistakes we’re making for that matter. He inherited a fairly pish squad that's since been decimated by injuries, and has managed to bring a lot of decent attacking play out of them. There's enough in that for me to suggest that he's probably a decent enough coach but that still feels a good wee bit away from being an actual manager. If we're honest, it would probably take a stroke of massive fucking luck for us to empty our manager a day before the season started only for our Head of Youth Development to turn out to be the best possible candidate to replace him- and I don't think it's happened. That's the kind of thing a team of promising youngsters might do and be forgiven for because they lack a bit of experience but ffs, we've barely anyone in that category. McKinstry? Penney maybe? But O'Donnell, McGinn, Lamie? These are seasoned pros and that was a fucking carry on.
