Three senior keepers not a bit much? Is Fox injured? I know Carson has suffered problems in the last few year but seems a bit excessive when times are tight, no?

Fox is out for the season with a cruciate injury.

I wouldn't have thought so if it was just an injury in training.

The only time I can remember hearing of wages being paid by someone else was when the SFA had to pay Steven Saunders' wages when he done his cruciate with Scotland under 21s, which allowed us to sign Tim Clancy.

With the transfer window having slammed shut and Chapman confirmed yesterday along with Morrison being confirmed as going out on loan here's a summary of the squad and contracts/expirations (Peter Morrison, Barry Maguire, Harry Robinson and Yusuf Hussain's profiles haven't been updated since their contract extensions were announced. You'd assume they'd be 1 year extensions although Maguire suggested on his IG post that his is 2 years).

I'll update accordingly if Devine, Hussain and Cornelius end up loaned out and once Morrison's destination is confirmed.

Ye make a fair point

I knew there was a case of something similar at point.  I just assumed with us signing a goalie something similar maybe happened but now I think about it yer probably right.

He's probably on buttons but if whoever is loaning Morrison is paying his full wage then that might offset some of Chapman's wage for purely budgeting purposes?

The one thing that jumps out at me is we have Ricky Lamie until 2022.

2 that could potentially go on loan are Yusuf Hussain (we signed him from Falkirk) and David Devine who's coming back from an injury at the moment. According to Scott Burns Peterhead and Airdrie had been interested in taking Hussain on loan.

Yeah I thought I recognised the name, he was in our forth valley academy before that all went south. Has he played at all or just been in the fringes of the first team?

I think he's made the bench once or twice with the nine subs this season, but hasn't made it on the pitch.

David Devine has come off the bench once, but it was almost a token gesture in the last game of the 18/19 season.

Devine also had a stint with Queen of The South last season where he struggled a bit (a lot) but by the same token the wheels had absolutely come off there, especially with Rangers pulling McCrorie's loan. I'm not sure it's entirely fair to fully judge him on those games but you could see that going from Reserves football to Championship was a massive step up.

It's fair to say both are 'rated', particularly Devine as Mo Ross was talking him up massively on one of the MFC Podcasts he did. Both definitely need first team games though - League 1 is probably a fair shout for both.

This is old news but according to Celtic Twitter we played them in a bounce game last Friday (they won 2-1).

Genuinely curious what our team would have looked like given we had Carson, O'Donnell, Gallagher, Mugabi, Campbell, Maguire and Morrison all away with various international teams as well as those who have been loaned out and are carrying injuries.

I'd like to think they'll actually come back fitter, sharper and with a dash more confidence, but I've been disappointed before.

3 international level games in the space of a week seems like it'd definitely take it out you. I noticed Campbell wasn't involved with the u21s against San Marino yesterday, Maguire played the 90 and scored though...so that's nice.

I was surprised he played on Sunday as SOD looked absolutely done against Israel but they maybe don't have much option. I assume he'll play tonight as well.
