ayrmad
Only managed to listen to fight, sounded terrific, if only Kell had acclimatised at middleweight for a couple of years, maybe we'd have got to the bottom of GGG.

Not sure how you acclimatise to getting punched in the face so hard that your eye socket breaks, tbh.
Cream Cheese
Boxing is getting as soft as football these days. Also, what was with all of that campy build up before the match? Just get on with the fight ffs.

dundeefc1783
Not sure how you acclimatise to getting punched in the face so hard that your eye socket breaks, tbh Exactly not many people could take that kind of punishment. Also found sky's headline that was on the app earlier that brook was stopped by injury misleading. That makes sound like it wasn't something that happened as a result of the fight. If the towel had been thrown in he likely would have been on the end of a brutal knockout. Just as the towel was thrown his hands were down and legs were gone.
GiGi
Will watch it back later but great night. Disappointing end to the fight but Brook was getting hurt. No need to take more of those shots if he wants to keep boxing for a few years. Awesome to see GGG in action though. Makes the ring tiny, makes it his fight and just unloads. Scary ring presence and power. Fair play to Eubank Jnr if he wants anything to do with that.

The final result would have been the same but there's no saying what would have happened or how long it would have lasted, personally I think it's foolish to go up so much in one fight against such an accomplished fighter, your just asking for bother, not that Hearns has to take any of the blows.
MONKMAN
Brook was done, he knew it, his team knew it and everyone else did. His look over to his corner at the end wasn't of protest to the stop, I think it was more of disappointment on his own behalf. He got in the ring with an absolute monster, who nobody else would fight and he he should be commended for that.

It's grown on me.

MarkoRaj
Ggg did look less like a p4p king in that fight. Will be interesting to see if any of the middleweights fancy it a bit more. Was a bit wild at times and got hit a lot in that 2nd round. Some people have suggested that it was because he had no respect for brook's power, when you watched him v lemiux, who has legit middleweight ko power, he did stick behind the jab a lot more. When asked after the fight if Brook hurt him, he couldn't have been more dismissive: 'he is good fighter but not middleweight. So many punches - I don't feel'He's still a monster in my eyes. Glad brook didn't take too much damage, Golovkin seemed determined to rearrange his face.Brook showed a lot of fantastic qualities. Great chin, good heart, great movement and picked his shots superbly at times. Just a shame he was fighting at too high a weight. Would love to see him in with canelo or Thurman. Think he could be an elite 154
kiddy
Looking at the rankings, there's precious little keeping GGG at MW. Canelo or the WBO title, nothing else doing.
J_Stewart
Would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend the Roman Gonzalez v Carlos Cuadras and Kamegai v Soto Karass fights that were on boxnation last night. Absolute wars. Gonzalez v Cuadras especially was an unbelievable fight. Chocolatito is an absolute baller, movement and accuracy is unbelievable. Rightly considered a top 5 p4p fighter.
ICTChris
Apparently GGG wants to fight Billy Joe Saunders in a unification fight. Think that'd be an easy one for Golovkin, mid rounds KO.Brook is going in for surgery on his eye this week. Hopefully he comes back, a good fight would be Khan at 154.

The Chlamydia Kid
Watched the right again today sober. Went as expected with weight the clear deciding factor. I was impressed that brook managed to unload so many combinations on GGG and once if twice managed to stop him in his tracks and even push him into the Back foot at one point. However it was a mismatch and the inevitable stoppage could not have been avoided due to the weight advantage. GGG just stalked him and cut the ring off as he does.

Didn't enjoy the Kamegai - Soto Karass as much as the last one, gave Soto Karrass one round before the KO hope he goes ahead with what he said about retiring. Gonzales - Cuadras was very good. Haven't seen Gonzales look so fucked, Cuadras was the harder hitter and hurting him within range/just outside. If he hadn't ran as much and used his movement to stay a bit closer to Gonzales he could've won that. Some great fights to be made at 115 just now. Golovkin - Brook ended up an anti climax but can't blame Brook's corner for throwing the towel given the eye issue. It was probably the worst performance I've seen from Golovkin though and Brook did well at times taking advantage of that.

Otherwise, it's an early rounds stoppage. Canelo's the only big cash generator left in the division. Otherwise it's a move up to really prove himself.
