Clearly fallen out of favour with the club. By the sounds of it he's been training on his own since his return from the loan. 15 minutes ago, FFC 1876 said: Charlie Gilmour still injured? Yeah. Wouldn't have been offered a new deal anyway though.

It really is but that's the cock Macca has to piss with. The legend that is Callum Davidson STILL effecting, or maybe infecting, all things at Mcdiarmid.
SJFCtheTeamForMe
Unless Hallberg is given an offer he can't refuse I can't see him accepting the offer to stay either. Could be wrong but reckon he's keen to look elsewhere. Crawford will again end up on loan somewhere to rundown the contract. As he won't walk away from it £££. Neither would I walk away from it , Saints were daft enough to give him it.
The Marly
Really gutted to see Spoony go. Greatest Saint ever.
mizfit
I think the club should’ve really thought about how to announce the Spoony departure. It’s raw and one which would upset fans. Perhaps announcing it separately and making clear he will have his testimonial and letting him say some words would’ve made it easier. Especially when others got that opportunity.

SJFCtheTeamForMe
Just wait until we confirm Pawlett is signing to replace him. Davidson will have an angry mob outside his house

Aye a lot of the 2yr/3yr deals he chucked about chasing squad stability will stunt that actually happening. Really have to hope the younger ones can step up quickly.

gingermunkie
Think the footballing decision to let Spoony go makes sense, but on an emotional level it should have been dealt with so so much better.
Zamora Fan
Wotherspoon over Hallberg any day for me I’m afraid. Really sad about this and he doesn’t deserve being released for one mediocre half season on the back of a horrible injury. Best Saint ever?
Kyle
I can just about get my head around the footballing decision to release Spoony, I don’t agree with it, but can just about see the logic. Davidson giving long contracts to Crawford, Carey and the likes of Booth has surely contributed to that decision and, let’s be honest, we’d all rather have spoony than any of those 3 players. How it’s been managed though… wow. PR guy either doesn’t know the club and the significance of David Wotherspoon to it or is a bit of a sociopath.
