Edinburgh City

Recommended Posts

As mentioned in my earlier (long) post the whole Craig Thomson thing has brought to light the lack of an organised concerted voice for the Edinburgh City support (or what's left of it). The chairman has asked if I'd be willing to act as a sort of fans representative with a line in to him and the board. I am interested in that but wanted to gauge others reactions first. If any wants to talk to me about it drop me a message on here (@allymonc on twitter if that's your thing) and we'll see if there's an appetite for it and what form it should take.

I think we suffered from not having a voice here and let's be honest there are things on the horizon we'll want to make points heard on. Old Firm Colts..............

Can only see this as a positive.

As far as I know Thomson did not play last night - hows that for starting rumours....!

of last season's squad Antell, Caddow, Beattie, Ortega, Harrison, Walker and Laird played. As did one of our strikers from last year but I'm not sure if he's signed (not Deeks ) and the new guys we've signed. There were a couple of trialists who looked quite tasty when they came on.

We scored a nice goal midway through the 2nd half. Raith scored a last minute tap in from a rebound. Grrr. Raith's team looked quite young.

I was sorely tempted to boycott the club last night when I found they'd introduced squad numbers for this season.

F*cking squad numbers .

1-11 for your starting line up and 12-whatever as your subs. That's football.

You've started squad numbers, pain in the arse, we've just got rid of ours good old 1-11 this season.

It avoids somebody else having to wear Thomson's shirt.

I see Spartans have signed 3 City players announced tonight. Mcfarland, Stobbie and Guthrie? Great signings for them but a sad loss to City. All 3 helped city achieve much over the last few years hope City acknowledge their time as each must have been several years with City. Time will tell.
