If you’re saying it’s a benefit not playing in front of the fans at Ibrox then why would a batch of home games later in the season be a benefit? Guess it really depends, if Rangers are on a decent run during the home spell it could be advantageous but if they aren't top of the league the crowd will get on their back which clearly affects the players as we've seen in the past so fair enough it could be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on form.

I've no issue with that. Seen some chat online that your first four games of the season could be away with four home games on the bounce later on. That would be a shambles.
kent_don
Why not Hampden? They have their own dressing room, end and dugout there already.
Sortmeout
A drunk Rangers fan in Germany told me earlier that the Asian company has or had something to do with David Murray. He didn’t say that was anything to do with the delay right enough. Edited June 21 by Sortmeout

Perhaps the drunken ramblings were completely misinterpreted…… He said “Navid….blah blah…..curry….” You heard “David Murray” Ibrox : “can you get all this stuff done before the season starts?” Fits the bill somewhat given the demographic of the Rangers support.

Didn't they suggest that Dundee forfeit the points when they couldn't fulfil their fixture with Rangers last season?

This makes no sense.

I don’t believe so? Plus, this won’t be a case of not being able to fulfil any fixtures. They just won’t get played at Ibrox.

I doubt that. The SPFL will bend over to your mob and allow you to have four away games to start the season, or however many they need.
Juanhourjoe
Just came to see if anything was happening yet on a possible ground share. It would obviously be Hampden or Celtic park they'd have to ask for first. This chat of only playing away games for a while isn't happening either. No other team bar maybe Celtic would even consider that a possibility.
KnightswoodBear
Did Hearts not have to play their home games at Murrayfield until about November when their new main stand wasn't ready?

It's not that any team would be losing out, it's simply that no other team, bar one, would be allowed this privilege.

But what is the privilege, exactly? Fixtures are rearranged at the request of clubs every now and then. I’m sure last season Hibs and St Johnstone had a fixture brought forward at their request because both teams had been eliminated from the league cup and it suited them. This would just be a case of swapping round a home fixture to an away fixture in the first round of games. It’s a completely hypothetical (and I think unreasonable) claim to suggest no other team would be allowed to do it if their opponents agreed.
