Fashion’s absence being felt already. 🥲

Genuinely.

I have absolutely zero idea why you've spent so much on 3 strikers who look like they all bring the same thing, who all play in front of a succession of identical central midfielders. A couple of eccentric flying wingers either side of one and you'd be having a ball.

I think the answer to that is Michael Beale doesnt know what he's doing.

Sam Lammers has scored 5 goals in the last three and a half years. If one of us wee clubs signed someone with that record, the fans would be raging.

I know the flag (wrongly) went up against Raskin for the ball in anyway, but that miss he had at the end of the first half. Holy. Fcuk.

We looked like we had a bunch of new players still getting to know each other playing their 2nd competitive game, for once it's me that's actually quite happy with a win.

Negative waves from the usual suspects,  we've got a decent chance of finishing the job next week.

I think you may be correct tbh. The Swiss were no great shakes either albeit James McFadden may have pointed out they are resilient.

I don’t see either Rangers or Servette beating PSV over two legs.

Gary o Neil is getting the job, this was mentioned yesterday as well. Wolves likely had him lined up. There would have been nobody else under consideration if it is done this quickly. Amazing how poor the reporters are in Scotland yet there will still be Rangers fans saying he's turned them down for a 2nd time to stay with The Rangers.

You mean the Gavin Berry, Scott McDermott, Keith Jackson, Andrew Newport cheerleading society were lying?

imagine my surprise.

Surely there are no The Rangers fans who gives these h**s with lap tops any credence?

The standard of Scottish journalism is even worse than the standard of the football

No width or pace. More teams than Killie will take points off Rangers.

It’s really weird.  They’re absolutely crying out for a winger.  Even that Welsh bloke.   So Beale puts a centre forward out wide and plays even narrower, and then signs about six Tom Lawrences.   I’m sure they’ll improve somewhat, but it’s so patently obvious that the team is imbalanced.

Of course we will be happy with the win, but it is concerning how one dimensional we seem to be at the moment. I think we will get better as the players get more games together under their belt, and there were signs in the first half of some nice football being played, but it just seems to be breaking down at the crucial moments right now.

You've been one dimensional for years. It's kind of in your identity. Strong in midfield, put a lot of pressure on teams. Yes there have been patches when the midfield has worked well, (like when Jack First arrrived) but generally there has been a lazy assumption that things will come good and teams will Crack. Mostly that works domestically but tends to come unstuck when a diddy is up for it, against celtic or in europe

Yep, I don't necessarily disagree. I think we are seeing a shift towards the system that we used under Gerrard. This did produce improvements year on year culminating in a title win, but that was heavily influenced by having our fullbacks provide the width where Tavernier and Barisic were in their prime, and we had Kent and Aribo in fine form providing that killer instinct.

So while I think the system can work, it is heavily reliant on various factors which I don't feel we have in our favour at the moment so a plan B or fresh approach is required.

Also I have to say the insistence on playing full backs as wingers has generally worked to the detriment of both the wingers you do play and your defence. I can work, but is fairly easy to nullify. It's part of the reason Jota, Abada and Maeda regularly found so much joy against you.
