Scary Bear
Griffiths has zero goals in 9 caps, if hes a "better player" than we truly are fucked Might as well try him. It's. it not as if any of our other options are doing much.As for Strachan, thanks but it's time for the next guy. Have a long and happy retirement. Scary Bear
I'd be up for a suitable foreign manager. However this boy will still be up against it seen as we've a shit defence and no forwards who can score goals against opposition of higher quality than Malta and Gibraltar. It's the typical cycle of a Gordon Strachan tenure. Start as a wisecracking affable motivator and by the end turn into a negative, bitter and selfish impostor. Nail on head. Thought he did a great job turning it around from Levein and took us to a decent place where we looked capable of kicking on. His demise has been somewhat spectacular and who knows what's going on behind the scenes as the performances have been abysmal against far weaker teams than we faced last campaign. HibeeJibee
Lars Lagerback has been knocked-back by SFA twice previously after actively putting himself forward, and said he was stepping back from things after leaving Iceland? Against that background, I'd be amazed if he wanted to now take on Scotland only 3 games into a campaign which is already a near write-off. Scary Bear
Yeah theres no doubt Griffiths offers more than any other striker, but hes hardly good enough None of them are. Their international goalscoring records against anyone other than bottom pot sides shows that. Might as well give him a few games and see if he can grow into it. Probably need to play him with a partner, so 4-4-2. Having no decent centre halves limits us a bit in terms of 5-3-2 or 3-5-2.

port-ton
You know we're a nation of pathetic goalscorers when a Maltese striker has more international goals than any Scotland striker in history.

Myview
Strachan doesn't cope with criticism or stress. So depending what's said or what stress he feels will decide on whether he resigns or not. Regardless if this is the best squad that can be picked. Slovakia are a poor side their previous results and tonight confirms this. This was a very very poor performance by Scotland with most players not good enough for international level.

When he first arrived he moved our dynamic further infield giving us an attacking and more aggressive style. As his reign has progressed, we have sat further and further back in games. We are easy to play against.
