Granny Danger
Fans of the late Brian Rix will love this; classic British farce. https://news.sky.com/story/ports-warn-no-deal-customs-checks-will-be-impossible-12134058 The government has offered two solutions to the requirement to carry out huge volumes of new documentary and physical checks on imports. One is for ports to carry out checks on site, something many have no space to do. The other is for goods to be transported direct to lorry parks that will be used as customs clearance centres, including a new facility at Sevington, near Ashford in Kent. The second model relies on traders and hauliers to use a new software system, the Goods Vehicle Movement System, which is still in development and will not be launched until two weeks before the transition period ends. -

I find it weird how quiet the media have been, including leading up to the end of July which was the deadline for asking for an extension to the transition period. Seems like everyone's come to the conclusion that we're fucked and sleepwalking to no deal, and there's nothing we can do about it.
HTG
Looks more likely than not that there won't be a deal. There may be some sort of fudge along the lines of "just because there isn't a deal now doesn't mean there won't be one at some future point." They'll have tables out in the streets of Great Yarmouth for another VE Day style celebration.

He's trying to cover it up with the comb forward. He's a weak man. Self isolating for 14 days due to a negative Covid test (considering he has already had it) in the week after Cummings fecked off. Isn't this deadline week for 'the deal?' Although I think a few EU lads caught Covid.
