The Official Former President Trump thread

Fair play to the Trump supporters, I cant imagine the amount of effort and mental gymnastics it must take to try and legitimise his views and his constant gaffes. I'm a lazy member of the sneering liberal metropolitan elite(Stenhousemuir branch) who finds it easy to criticise him for the ridiculous things he does and says.

It wasn't a normal briefing from which CNN was excluded. There are meetings with groups of journalists based on politics by every administration. Did you see the first link where Fox News was specifically excluded from a briefing on Benghazi due to Obama being unhappy with their reporting on the matter?

As for the normal briefings, all administrations decide who is let in. I don't think Breitbart had a normal seat at the Obama press conferences, but they do under Trump. Were they excluded by Obama?

Because they aren't a credible new organisation.

 You couldn't make this guy up - it's like Homer Simpson with a lobotomy.

Turns out the 'wacky-right sites' took their stats from official US treasury data.

It's still a bit of a minter for Trump to try and take credit for it though as it seems to jump up and down daily.

He hasn't even got a tax and spending plan written up yet for Congressional approval, any deficit reduction is down to Obama, not forgetting Obama inherited an economy in free fall that needed a massive injection of capital to save it.

P.S. Expect at tweet in April about how he's miraculously shrunk the deficit. (The month when most people pay their taxes).

He surely can't actually believe it's down to anything he did. It's just cheap points scoring on a coincidental stat.

He's right in saying the economy is a mess though. The last administration nearly doubling the national debt to achieve record low growth suggests all is not well, which isn't to say Obama is to blame, more that the debt-based monetary system is starting to creak under it's own weight. If Trump can avoid impeachment or assassination for a year or two, he may find himself becoming a convenient scapegoat for the next crash.

Trump proposing an increase of 9% on the US's military budget. Their current spending is already more than the next 7 biggest spenders in the world combined. Incredible.

And of course, as any conspiracy theory loonball will tell you, Killary was the shill(ary) for the industrial military complex.

Nuclear bombs don't kill people, depriving folk of an affordable public healthcare system whilst increasing military spending by billions of dollars kill people.

Of course nuclear bombs can kill people if you use them.

Trump describes the US military as 'depleted', but what he really means is China is catching up (or is ahead in some areas).

His increased military spending will probably include 300 new aircraft carriers, all named after him, and the gold-plating of all existing aircraft.
