Wasn't ever too interested in the war stories though. Did they take you in to the shed to look at them first? In your own words, tell us what happened next. milton75
When I was about 12 I went to a jumble sale where some woman sold me about 300 copies of 2000ad for a few pence each. I expect her son wasn't too happy when he found out. This one was a peach:

I don't want to talk about it as someone on here will use the story as a means of bashing Aberdeen.

Pretty pish really. Looks like the aforementioned Ghost Castle was a remake of this. Seems functionally identical Amazing how many of those Commando comics have been made - they're almost at #5000, and still being produced after 56 years Vastly preferred the Football Monthlys though; started buying them with the first issue and didn't miss an issue for about five years. Yet another thing I should never have given away

Hedgecutter
Some of these games remind me of those pishy Mighty Max toys. How I was so easily entertained by one* gives me cause for concern. *I actually had two (the skull and the snake) Edited February 19, 2017 by Hedgecutter

I've never seen that Haunted House one before. Looks a bit basic, but probably still fun. There was another game I craved that a friend had: Basically you had to get your wee guys off the island before it sunk. Bits of land got taken away each go. It was great.

Bishop Briggs
The original Dirty Harry whose wrist was too weak to hold the Magnum. The role was then offered to John Wayne, then Robert Mitchum and then Burt Lancaster who turned it too!

BFTD
Anyone remember a series of action figures called Nightmares from back in the mid-Eighties? IIRC, they were all horror archetypes (zombie, wolfman, etc). Don't think I ever saw them anywhere other than John Menzies in Stirling - they seemed like the kind of cheapo toy you'd pick up at a market. Kept me greatly amused one summer. Google's been no help, presumably because the name was so generic. Anyway, now's probably a good time to admit that I not only have a Tomy Super Cup Football still kicking around, but also Ghost Castle, Atmosfear, and Lost Valley of the Dinosaurs. Also this bad boy: I also sold an original Screwball Scramble to a Canadian for £80 a while back too Eighty fucking quid

Haven't played it since I was a kid, but I remember it being fun. Besides, it comes with a big squishy Frankenstein's monster - you can't lose, really.
