Neither Booth or Edwards followed King at the end and that's what cost us two points. Infuriating. Should be five points clear of the bottom half.

Elliott as well. Brought on to provide cover and absolutely nowhere to be seen when the guy is shaping up to swing in the cross. It wasn't just at the point of delivery that we were sloppy there as well - it was a shitey floated cross and should have been dealt with in the box, either by a CB or even Cerny. Pish all round for the goal.

Caley didn't deserve anything from the game, but us switching off and dropping points from a winning position is hardly anything new. Just standard shit from us trying to see out a game, and it takes away the breathing space we had going to Killie next week. That's a massive game now.

Hopefully Osman and Lawless are good to go next week, but didn't look good for either of them.

Only the second game I've been at this season but the way we dropped deeper and deeper in the last ten after being comfortable beforehand is just like our first couple of seasons back in the top flight. Thought we'd started being able to see games out. Sigh.

Haven't had many get out of jail cards this season, a late equiliser away to Thistle and a valuable point when the three teams above us all lost. Definitely take that.

Lawless and Osman going off changed the game

Lawless was having a great game and unlocking the Caley defence at will

Osman would have galvanised the team and organised the defence better at the end, I don't see Caley score if Osman is still on

We deserved all 3pts from that game but once again didn't take our chances when they came

...I'm off to kick a puppy :<

It's heartening to know that despite the visible improvements on and off the field since 2013 that deep down, we're still Thistle. That was reminiscent of a game from our first season up, most of the play, lots of nice football without creating many chances then lose a late late headed goal from a floaty punt into the box.

Easy to say but I think we might have held out if Osman hadn't got injured. The problem all game was Booth played 90 minutes as if he was on valium and Dumbuya - bit of an elephant in the room- has been half the player he was last season since he came back, and 90% of our play ended up with them giving it away. Defence were solid for 91 minutes and 55 seconds, couldn't really see much of the ICT disallowed goal from the other end but it did seem to nick off someone on the way in who I presume was Billy McKay and I've not read anything (yet) saying it was a terrible decision- but other than that and their actual goal they did nothing.

We didn't do much better with innumerable final balls going wildly astray (even the goal was our 3rd attempt at putting ball into the box after the first two had been massively over-hit from the right wing then the left) though there was a scramble in the second half where their keeper made what looked a very good save from a ricochet... might have been one for the cameras though.

Problem now is if Osman and Lawless are out for any significant amount of time we're down to about 13 fit senior players. Hopefully Osman was just precautionary and Lawless was a clash of knees, but I still think it's more likely we finish bottom 6 than top- I'd settle just for being safe though.

Booth done my nut in all day. Every single cross was an utter shambles and I think everyone seen that King was going to get the ball into his left foot and cross it in with the last possible chance of the game. Except him.

Stating the obvious, but that's two points lost there. Thought we had cut out the late concession of goals, but obviously not. Booth was shocking today, and I think the game changed after Lawless came off. Him and Erskine were the two best players on the park in the first half. We played some lovely stuff, but our final ball was abysmal. Amoo came on and did nothing, and Azeez was his usual self in holding the ball up well and serving it to our wide players, but ultimately (again) didn't do what we needed him to do. Frustrating considering the other results, and now makes Killie next week absolutely massive.

At least you didn't run the ball into the corner, lads. Small victories and all that.

We would have won if we did, tbh. We've still got a lot to learn from stuffy, negative teams like St Johnstone in that regard.

Archibald suggesting the pitch wasn't great

"The pitch didn't help because we were playing some decent stuff and either the final pass eluded us or the pitch played a little bit of havoc with people's touches as well."

Isn't that excuse usually reserved for away games?

P.S. Conceding late goal needlessly. Jags are almost as bad as PSG.

Can't disagree with much here, tbh. We had very little pace and absolutely nothing going forward, and it was apparent to every ICT supporter that that would be the case as soon as the team lines were announced: no Cole, two right backs in the wide areas, and Anier, who has done nothing since signing, up front with Mckay. Obviously Foran wanted to be able to pack the defence when required, but the decision to go 3-5-2 was pretty questionable: Warren, who has been shaky this season anyway, looked really vulnerable and error-prone on the right hand side of the three, at least when Lawless was on the park, and it can't inspire confidence in any of them when we have a keeper who just won't command his six-yard area.

I thought Thistle played their best football in the period up to Lawless's injury, but they actually caused us more problems in the second half when they realised how vulnerable we were to any ball across the area: three central defenders, and we still allowed umpteen free headers and couldn't seem to clear our lines when the ball was on the ground. We did have Fon Williams to thank for a couple of good saves to keep the deficit down to one. For a lot of the second half we looked completely out of ideas and resorted to long balls that posed absolutely no threat, but we did pick it up a bit in the final fifteen minutes or so, when King and Cole provided a bit more movement. Haven't seen the equalizer back, so I'm not sure if Warren was definitely offside, as he appeared to be, but it was an end to the game that made a short but arduous journey worthwhile: a few hour earlier I was so hungover that I was shivering and weeping in front of Saturday Kitchen, without the energy to change channel even when the fucking hairy bikers came on, so it's a minor miracle I made it at all.

So hungover that he forgot to criticise Iain Vigurs

I thought I'd give him a break today ;). Also, I think it's pretty out of order that he has actually been getting booed by our supporters at TCS, although that's perhaps hypocritical given that I have, as you point out, been a pretty frequent critic on here.

We have looked a bit more dynamic with him out of the side, but he was always going to start today with Draper out, and while he was  ineffective, he had that in common with most of the rest of the team.

We were dire today and got out of jail with that late goal.  The back five worked well enough defensively but we offered nothing going forward, while Anier is essentially a poor man's Mckay and the two are far too similar to be partnership.  And what on Earth has happened with Fisher?  Must be a fall out there somewhere.  If he wasn't going to come on today when we were a goal down and lumping the ball forward, then I doubt we shall be seeing him again.
