So if there were 28 teams next season, two leagues of 14 with each playing each other once. Created by very rough seeding, top, one division, second and third the other, fourth same division as the top one etc. etc. Then the top seven of each in the 14 team first division, bottom seven of each in the 14 team second division. Results carried forward between teams who find themselves in the same division again. The remainder of the home and away fixtures are then completed for the first and second divisions. Just an idea and of course there might not end up being 28 teams. Seven extra fixtures compared to a home and away 14 team league. So 33 fixtures for each team overall. 26 counting towards the final positions in the first division and the second division as would normally be the case. Promotion and relegation at the end of the season, two up, two down. 2019/20 is then simple league fixtures for each club.

It's football, not Countdown! :D

If you get more applications next season teams might escape relegation and extra teams might be promoted. New teams in the second division.

Or just create a second division north and a second division south.

So Dalkeith, Camelon, Blackburn, Bonnyrigg, Tranent and Inverkeithing Swifts.

Dundonald, Hill of Beath, Edinburgh Utd, Crossgates Primrose, Dunipace, Musselburgh, Haddington, Easthouses plus another Amateur club make up the rest??

St. Bernard's are meant to be the other amateur. Has Bonnyrigg actually come out as officially applied for next season?

Swifts would be a good addition, good youth set up and the old amateurs had a decent following.

couple of things though, they don't seem to have a senior team playing at any level? and don't have a ground? I've been at the ballast bank and it no more than a public park.

It does just seem to be a public park.  Are there any other grounds in the area they could use?

The obvious one would have been a ground share with Rosyth Juniors but they're leaving Recreation Park in a few weeks. Only other one I can think of would be at Dalgety Bay Sports Centre 3G.

What are the ground requirements for the EOS?

Think it just has to be enclosed. The bar has been set low with Tweedmouth using Old Shielfield which is Berwick's old training ground behind the main stadium, team have to use Berwick's dressing rooms in the main stadium.

Tbf, Tweedmouth were supposed to be installing a portacabin type pavilion during last season (there was talk of it getting craned in from the depot behind the timber yard), but it fell through.

Returning to Inverkeithing... speaking of a "public park" ground normally implies being open as opposed to enclosed. It's years since I've been in Inverkeithing, but going by Google Streetview it would appear to be largely "enclosed", with a high chainlink fence separating the ground from the street and a lower wire fence separating the grass banks from the running track and pitch?

I could be wrong, but I heard Tweedmouth had been given a certain amount of time to get things in place
