Correct. My Mum had a stroke during the height of the pandemic and wasn't in any queue.

Someone queried the lack of diversity in her Worst Witch ripoffs and her immediate response was to invent a “character”, give him a stereotypical Jewish name, and debut him on Twitter, pretending her fantasy world was real and he’d always been part of it. Crackpot. Probably the only author I’ve ever seen descend into writing their own shite fan fiction. ETA: there are some hilarious reviews up on YouTube of her most recent “work”: a 1000+ page disaster about herself (cunningly hidden behind a fictional identity) being murdered for opposing trans people, after being harassed online by those wicked, wicked men in dresses and their extreme SJWs. Joanne is the victim, you see - did you get that? Edited October 6, 2022 by Antlion
Popular Post Boo Khaki
7 hours ago, Dawson Park Boy said: What’s your problem with JKR? My problem is with privileged, white, middle-class women who are completely consumed by a single issue, describing themselves as 'feminists' when a large proportion of them are simultaneously shouting from the rooftops that they will vote for a party that pursues policies that keep working class women in penury, and a few months ago had a Prime Minister who knowingly dished out jobs to men who commit sexual offences against women, because 'at least they know what a woman is'. They're also fond of slating Keir Starmer and Labour for 'not being able to define a woman', and happy to ignore the fact that GRC reform, as it was initially proposed in England, happened under Theresa May's watch, and also that all the horrendous examples they cite of transwomen in women's prisons etc etc are happening under the governance of the Tory party who supposedly do 'know what a woman is'. The hypocrisy and myopia is staggering. It's f**k all to do with being a rabid transphobe or a ham author, and everything to do with being so cossetted in your own wee world that you are totally oblivious to your own privilege. See also the fact that they are happy to walk hand-in-hand with far right orgs, and share online spaces with incels provided they have common ground when it comes to anti-trans views, yet spend all their time shouting about awful, predatory men, and 'the patriarchy' oppressing women. If their concerns genuinely are about predatory and abusive men, then perhaps they should concentrate their efforts on campaigning for better policing and prosecution of those instead of concentrating solely on anything that relates to trans or gender theory. The two groups in question, predatory males, and transpeople, are entirely and distinctly separate, so it's utterly vile to continue to conflate the two and use the actions of one to demand the rights of the other are curtailed. It's exactly the same pish we sat through for years with people who were resolute that gay men shouldn't be permitted to work with children because they would invariably assault young boys. Total and utter nonsense, since being a gay man and being a paedophile are two wholly separate things, yet gender critical women continue to use exactly the same illogical 'argument' when it comes to trans rights. Rates of domestic violence perpetrated by men against female partners are appalling, yet they are not campaigning to restrict mens' rights to enter relationships with women, ban them from sharing homes etc, which begs the question why not? After all, they can't distinguish the abusive ones from the decent ones, so why not just extend their current argument about transpeople and boot ALL men out of society so you don't need to worry? At least the political lesbians who do essentially follow this doctrine are being fundamentally honest, but they are no different to the Incels and MGTOW'ers they claim to despise because of the fact their movement is driven by hatred of women. Political lesbianism is founded in hatred of men. They are Femcels. So my issue is with hypocrites, and the fact JK Rowling is one of the biggest ones going. You just need to see who she is happy to cavort with on Twitter to realise she's completely dishonest about her claimed 'feminism'. When the prospect of Labour going left-wing arose under Corbyn, she was one of the many (not the few) who threw up their hands in horror at the very idea. She and the existing Labour Party were the victims, you see, of those nasty lefties. Wee Joanne is always the victim. Rowling has always epitomised the New Labour poseur: happy to carp and wring her hands about the Tories from the sidelines but utterly dedicated to keeping Labour a pale Conservative tribute act.
Boo Khaki
Labour, who are as utterly wedded to self-ID and GRC reform as the SNP, but in JKR's world its perfectly ok to associate with Labour, but Nicola Sturgeon is 'destroying women's rights'.

Granny Danger
Couple of nice takes from Keith Brown’s speech: “She (Truss) has been a Tory government minister for a decade, serving under Cameron, May and Johnson. From austerity to Brexit, she's been complicit in inflicting the worst Tory policies on the people of this country. “It is a sobering thought that when the history of 2022 is written, it will record that Boris Johnson was not even the worst prime minister this year."

I am undoubtedly biased, but that performance is miles ahead of any of Truss’s interviews I’ve seen; Sturgeon oozes ability, clarity of thought and commitment. BTW any right thinking person detests the Tories and all they stand for.
