I was at the Albania v Spain game a couple of weeks ago and they were absolutely fine. Huge support and they were certainly noisy in the city all day but never saw any trouble. Not sure how many of them actually lived in Albania mind !

The concern with the latter is whether there could be a punishment of playing behind closed doors, affecting our away game. Let’s bin this “behind closed doors” chat. Some of us are looking forward to this trip.

This 100%, much rather Albania than boring old Iceland. Closed door sanctions are usually imposed when the stadium being closed has been the scene of bother, it's highly unlikely I would think.
Dirty Sanchez
I checked out some Dennis Adeniran when he was still a trialist and decided not to highlight these two until he'd actually signed.

The red card was as clear a one you'll ever see, but the Albanian fans were going mental at it. I thought the ref had a good game, apart from maybe not being strong enough with the blatant play acting from the Albanians. Also mention in that article of UEFA going to investigate- if reports of the ref being spat at and death threats being made to Valur directors are true, you'd have to imagine sanctions will follow. Maybe we'll find out who we are playing sooner than we think? he didn't get a straight red card, he got a second yellow, and it was never a yellow card offence..........more like an Oscar for the other player

The latter of whom seems to be getting used in a different way to the two that left (possibly due to injuries to McMenamin and Kiltie) so we probably needed another midfielder regardless if any go. Would imagine the deal for the centre half we'd identified has fallen through, hopefully we have another option lined up. We also had Flynn on the books and although he played as a RB lately, he was really a midfielder.

I think there will be a couple more ins and outs in the coming weeks. Would still take Kwon back again.

TPAFKA Jersey 2
That’s a bummer that there is no stream. Seems a bit tinpot that both Dunfermline and Morton could provide streams for their games against us, but we can’t. Was looking forward to watching today too.
Jersey Bud
What are the chances of Saints getting an increased allocation if we end up playing in Iceland? And if we do the chances of a non season ticket holder getting one? Albania would be a no-goer due the logistics of it, but can do Iceland relatively easily from Jersey on a 2 day trip via Luton. Tempted to just go ahead and book it next Thursday anyway if that’s where we’re playing and take my chances of getting a ticket over there, thoughts?

Wasn't really counting Flynn as he's barely played - plus his space has arguably been taken by Fraser Taylor. Last summer we sold Gallagher and brought in Bolton in the space of about 24 hours, had expected us to be similar quick with a replacement for Bolton so maybe the first choice isn't happening.

There's probably a hill you can stand on to watch the game, if you don't get a ticket. Just don't stand on any hot smoking hills.
Buttocks Brown
Nothing left in the Family Stand now so 6000+ tickets sold. Still nearly 3 weeks to the game, so hopefully something can be worked out for the North Stand. With season tickets not valid, a very good earner for the club. Potentially the highest ever gate receipts at Greenhill Road? Maybe the Dundee Utd play-off would run it close.

Vllaznia have denied making death threats and said they don't condone the behaviour of their fans but don't have any control over them. Some suggestion in the article that the second leg may be played at a neutral venue. Best outcome for us would be that Vllanzia win the tie, but our game is also moved to a neutral venue, somewhere nice and accessible like Prague. I've never been to Prague.
Kempes
Surely unlikely that they would allow them to play the second leg at home and then punish them in the next round. Then again, they might well!

I was speaking to a guy who is going to Albania in two weeks. Asked how he is getting there told me direct flight from Edinburgh, Ryanair to Tirana.
