glensmad
Any fan of a junior club that hasn't bothered getting all the relevant information from all parties by now should be demanding to know why. Spot on. The least any member of any club committee should be doing is researching this subject for himself/herself and forming an educated opinion of their own on how they personally think their club should react to today's events. "I don't really know too much about it" is not really good enough for anyone in a position of authority at a junior club. This issue has been ongoing for a number of years now, so it's not as if this announcement today has come out of the blue.

This issue has been ongoing for a number of years now, so it's not as if this announcement today has come out of the blue. This is why it is very important for all 63 clubs to be engaged in the process. It doesn't matter if the end result is remaining Junior or moving into the WoSFL. The actions of everyone else around them will have an effect. You just have to look at how the East Region has had to go through two major changes structurally adjusting to clubs moving to the EoSFL. Going into their third season since 2018 they're probably facing a third set of changes. Those that choose to stay Junior are not voting for the status quo or what they've always known.

Not heard anything since, although I have heard that they are running several youth XI's apparently, as well as an adult XI. An unlikely amateur applicant. Very unlikely

Marten
If Talbot's committee were not in contact with the LL to get a full, frank and fair assesment of their options then they're fucking idiots. Any fan of a junior club that hasn't bothered getting all the relevant information from all parties by now should be demanding to know why. As Talbot are not ran by morons ICR is quite right to assume they have spoke to the LL. If he has information to confirm this beyond a suspicion then all more power to him. To be fair to Talbot, they have always been consistent in their approach. They stated multiple times that they are happy with the status quo, but will react to changes as they don't want to be left behind. Not too dissimilar from Linlithgow (and others) in the East, who were not particularly enthusiastic about moving, but didn't want to be left behind either.
Inanimate Carbon Rod
Whatever happens, I can’t wait to hear the climb down statement from either Boswelldriver or ICR. Popcorn ready stuff [emoji23] Hey, all ive said is that i find it funny Buffs and Clydebank are being called ‘traitors’ and ‘rats’ by some talbot fans on twitter etc for saying we are interested in the wosl when Talbot put out their statement and I know they’ve enquired into the wosl too. From what I gather their committee is worried the fans will get too angry so are taking a softly softly approach. Hey its their club, I hope they do what’s right for them, im just a bit sick of the holier than thou piety about being ‘loyal to the grade’ when they are clearly sniffing about like a married guy on a business trip.

Footballfirst
When fans call other clubs "traitors to the grade", do you think that Celtic or Rangers would turn down an invite to join an expanded EPL/EPL2 because of loyalty to the SPFL? Ultimately it's a decision that should be made in the best interests of each individual club. If your club is ambitious and wants the opportunity to improve and progress up the pyramid, then it should be a no brainer to leave the Juniors. If you are happy being a "local" club playing in a local league with no great desire to play at a higher level, then you still have a choice. There are plenty clubs both within and outside the pyramid who have found a level at which they are comfortable.

Bestsinceslicebread
Ffs guys All this trying to get one over each other, what ages are you all, 40 - 50 year old guys sitting behind a computer, high fiving yourself thinking you've got one over each other. Who gives a shit, each team looks after themselves, if there are committees of teams who are loyal to the juniors so what, that's their choice, so hope it goes well if you stay junior the same for the ones who want to try and become more progressive, good luck as well Daddy has spoken, now carry on Edited February 7, 2020 by Bestsinceslicebread
FairWeatherFan
St Anthony's statement http://www.theants.co.uk/club-statement-pyramid/ Quote Whilst we appreciate clubs becoming increasingly vocal with regard to leaving the West Region of the SJFA, We feel clubs should give the Association every chance to try and gain entry to the pyramid through the Juniors and while discussions are still ongoing with the SFA we as a club will back the West Region to the hilt. Stay strong & support the Juniors Let the SJFA try, and try again. Sisyphus comes to mind.
