And there's also the massive issue that almost half the league have declared they're off and any club out of step with that will be left utterly screwed. Committee bites bullet and goes with the flow. Every WR club is joining (look at the spread so far) and it is time some people stopped fannying about! I refer to clubs plural in that btw! I was thinking before that maybe its known somewhere that the likes of Talbot may have applied. Bear in mind there were already 15-20 applications in about a week ago, which would suggest a fair number had already submitted theirs by then and chosen not to make a public statement Which is entirely the choice of the clubs concerned. We won't know the final numbers until after 7th April, but the smart money's on the current total being far in excess of the 24-25 who have declared they have applied.
glensmad
You have to wonder why some of these teams who have applied haven't announced it ?

We've also had a poster claim that about 5 D&G SoS clubs were interested, and there has been some speculation about Harthill Royal given they are a literal stone's throw from Lanarkshire. Someone on here posted that Strathclyde University have entered into a ground share arrangement with Renfrew Juniors (?). If true, is that merely a coincidence, rather than SU implying that they will be applying to the join the WoSFL ? Glasgow Uni did put in an expression of interest, but its decision has not yet been announced. As an aside, I have no idea about Oban Saints. Does anyone else have any information about them ?

With Ashfield, Petershill and Greenock Juniors today that's 24 declarations about applying to join the WoS. Sixteen from the WRJFA Championship or League One. Maybe the chance to play at Tier 6 of the Pyramid - effectively promotion - means more to them than to Premiership clubs so they are excited to look to the future and think it's worth flagging up to their friends and supporters? Also there must be clubs which don't have Twitter or Facebook accounts. Even so there should be some mention where these have (and keep up to date) club web sites. 24 Clubs which have Applied so far/have said that they will be applying: Premiership (4) Championship (10) League One (6) League Two (3) Others (1) Clydebank Arthurlie Bellshill Athletic Ashfield Drumchapel Utd PYM Kilwinning Rangers Blantyre Victoria Glasgow Perthshire Newmains United Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Cambuslang Rangers Greenock Juniors Vale of Clyde Rutherglen Glencairn Cumbernauld United Kello Rovers Gartcairn Juniors Maryhill Kilsyth Rangers Royal Albert Neilston Juniors Petershill Renfrew Whitletts Victoria Not known to have applied so far: Auchinleck Talbot Craigmark Burntonians Ardrossan Winton Rovers Annbank United Beith Juniors Dalry Thistle Carluke Rovers Ardeer Thistle Benburb Darvel East Kilbride Thistle Forth Wanderers Cumnock Juniors Irvine Victoria Girvan Johnstone Burgh Glenafton Athletic Shotts Bon Accord Lanark United Lugar Boswell Thistle Hurlford United St Roch's Larkhall Thistle Maybole Juniors Irvine Meadow XI Lesmahagow Juniors Muirkirk Juniors Kilbirnie Ladeside Port Glasgow Juniors Saltcoats Victoria Largs Thistle Shettleston St Anthony's Pollok Wishaw Juniors Thorniewood United Rossvale Vale of Leven Troon Yoker Athletic Edited March 27, 2020 by Dev ..
Cameron Wilson
Looks fairly likely all clubs will apply... There's literally no reason not to at this point. If this turns out to be the case it would seem a little odd to have conferences just for Drumchapel. Would love to see more ambitious clubs outside the juniors make an application, or if they have already, go public. In fact I think all clubs should be encouraged to go public to move things along and help get everyone on board.
GordonS
Until I hear a club saying that they're not applying, I'm going to assume that all 63 will. That's over one-third of them publicly declared anyway.
